Fingers crossed for Vita BL2 to be a retroactive cross-buy.
I think just KZ:SF and freebies will keep me busy for a while.
I like eye candy.
And I'll still have my PS+ backlog.
All PS4 titles have Vita versions. ;)
If it's free, or if you get it free if you purchased the original, I'd definitely give it another run through.
MWong: On the PS+ side (yuk), least four of those are free.
Gotta say... doesn't speak well for the Sony/Ustream partnership when the Ustream of their conference is so stuttery/freezy. Popped over to the YouTube stream at the ps3news alternate source, and it's super smooth.
I believe his concern/question is in regards to if the hypervisor has pulled extra memory from the app allotment for a game to use, then what happens when you want to snap an app? Does the app not run? Does it run in a restricted state? Does the hypervisor try to take the memory back from the game?
Blah blah blah lies misinformation echo chamber.
@ShinMaster: Now THAT is claiming Destiny as an exclusive. But to what does the "1" note refer?
ixquick.com is your friend.
If remote play works as theorized, I'll definitely pick one up in the future.
I just think it's weak that if you add an HDD, the 12GB of flash mem is disabled and just goes to waste. They should have figured a way to at least keep the OS on the flash... keeping non-game apps like Netflix and YouTube on the flash would have been nice as well.
"Built by executive committees, for advertisers" doesn't have the same ring to it.
Yeah, they're not claiming Destiny or the others as exclusives... but they are definitely deliberately creating that impression without actually saying it outright.
Didn't you know? The NES and the Master System were the same console. The SNES and the Genesis were the same console. The Saturn and the PlayStation were the same console.
Crap like this: "I think quite clear you have to wait because Xbox is the only eighth-generation console" is pathetic. I guess we should really be calling it a fourth-gen console.
Cartridge based: gen 1
Disc based: gen 2
Online/HD: gen 3
TV/Kinect: gen ...
Seriously... if I was trying to sell steak sandwiches with a hearty horse dung spread, should I be given kudos when I acknowledge I'll sell more by removing the dung?
Vision this, vision that... more like a hallucination born of unchained hubris.
No, they'll lose a chunk of those US/UK sales because the PS4 is coming out first there as well. Might not be a big chunk, but a chunk nonetheless. (and yes, there are US/UK 360 buyers that were so put off my MS's actions over the past few months that they'll be going PS4 regardless)
Sure they should... because then the features could be ported over to the PS4 Eye (please don't pretend that Kinect is just SO advanced that the Eye couldn't replicate most of its basic game functions). Heck, they could even translate some of them to the DS4 touchpad.
"Okay, we added this 'lean around corners' function to CoD for Kinect."
"Can we do that with the PS4 Eye?"
"Guess so... might not work as well in low ligh...
This is the compromise MS had to make to avoid hampering one of their key strategies significantly, and yes, that is the marketing data collection/sales strategy.
It simply looks like MS just wasn't expecting the negative backlash to their policies. They might have even gotten away with Kinect, but I think Edward Snowden should probably share some of the credit for the fact that it will not be mandatory to keep it plugged in. Their reversal has pretty much confirmed that...
I'm hoping that they will allow you to have the Gaikai license for any PS3 games you bought off the PSN store.
Here's to hoping.
