I must admit that I am a little intrigued by this game. I love my RTS with a keyboard and mouse but the idea of co-op is too much for me to pass up so I'll like buy it first day.
As someone who typically buys multi-platform titles on the 360, I have no issues with it going to the PS3. The game is very well done and would be a welcomed addition to PS3 owners. However the question is if the rumor is true then will the port be any good?
I loved Battlefront and liked the sequel. Maybe some other competent developer with pick up the ball on this one. And yea Fracture is a POS, not Haze bad but bad nonetheless.
Ummm tacos. Seriously mamma's boy, who throws a taco? You know she is only going to make you clean it up when you get back home.
I am looking forward to the game and this is a much needed improvement.
Excellent choice IMO. It is the only game that I would play hours on end and then dream about playing it some more (literally). The game made me want to explore every corner of it and I dreaded finishing it. Now I am on my third character and still enjoy it as much as I did when I first experienced it. MGS4, Gears 2, R2, L4D, Dead Space, LBP among others were great fun but Fallout (tho far from perfect) won me over within minutes of pressing the start button.
KZ2 looks great and there is no denying that but anyone who has a high-end computer that can run Crysis as intended knows that there is no real comparison. Aside from that, it is nearly impossible to even compare the games visually given the environments from the screenshots because the eye will often deceive the brain. A tropical paradise is almost always going to look better than the interior of a concrete industrial world. Either way KZ2 visuals alone look far superior than any other conso...
Regardless of this so-called preview, it's a day 1 purchase. My only real complaint from the first game was with breakdancing bad guys. They were just plain odd IMO as they shucked and jived as if they were on a dance floor. Not very natural movement when dodging gunfire. It's petty I know but it stood out to me in an otherwise amazing game.
Speaking of Halo and smart marketing, where the hell are my Killzone 2 Mountain Dew cases and Burger King wrappers? Maybe Sony is waiting for the Daytona 500 so they can emblazon Junior's hood with the KZ box cover but I doubt it. They'll continue their recent ways and drop the game with little marketing and it'll sell about 1.5 million copies in the first six months instead of the 2.5 - 3 million possible with a proper campaign. I don't pretend to know much about marketing being an archaeolo...
Hopefully most of them are on the way and a new Money Island would bring a big smile to my face.
Sad but it is bound to happen with most all online communities. At least he'll have offline friends in prison where they seem to hold a special place for "kiddie" lovers. I hope they tuck him in every night too.
I just started playing ME again yesterday since I never finished it. It didn't really grab me last year when I picked it up but I am enjoying it much more now that I have gotten out into the galaxy and picked up a few upgrades to my weapons and armor. Now I am really digging it aside from elevator rides. Maybe ME2 is one of the exclusives MS hasn't announced yet (wishful thinking). That would be welcome news. The timeframe of two years between releases seems to fit anyway.
Well I guess that settles it. We can all stop coming here and Sony might as well just quit trying and pack up shop. :)
Kojima is the man and L4D is a freaking awesome online experience. Don't hate especially if you haven't played it because your just cheating yourself out of some good fun.
I enjoyed the hell out of Gears 2 aside from MP issues. I play 80% of my games on the 360 but I have zero problems with it going to the PS3. Anyone (fanboys) who complains about such irrelevant issues is completely wasting their time and my oxygen. It makes sense for developers especially in these economic times. Software is where the money pours in from and it makes financial sense to get the product in as many hands as possible.
Deserving or not a 9/10 is a great score people. As for all the why not a 10/10 talk, no game will ever be or has ever been laudable enough for a perfect score.
Well I guess I'll keep my $60 and rent it instead. MP is great and certainly has its time and place but I enjoy playing co-op with a buddy far more than most MP games where I continually hear kids whose balls haven't dropped cursing in the voice of a adolescent girl. Nearly all FPS/TPS that are war-based should not even be considered without online co-op in this day and age. I can name 10 games between the 360/PS3 last year alone that I would have purchased if online co-op had been included. ...
Yeah right, the 720 will drop in the Fall of 2010 just when Gears 3 and Halo 4 hit the market.
Good to know. I had much rather run through most shooters with a buddy than solo.
I guess it's a good thing that the 720 will hit the market in Fall 2010 along with Gears 3 and Halo 4. I highly doubt the 360 will be killed off like the original was and it is likely to receive support for several years beyond the 720's launch due to the install base and software attach rate.
