Those commercials are pretty lame but at least they're campaigning. Does Sony even advertise the PS3?
I love how all this emphasis is placed on pre-orders. I pre-order games quite often but I don't always buy the game; I just roll that 5 bucks to another title at BB. I'll be getting KZ2 personally but who really cares about pre-orders. I am more interested in sale numbers. I think it'll do just fine but I don't expect any daily, weekly or monthly records to be broken.
He does appear to be a giant douche but Epic must have reigned him in a bit since I haven't read too many of his ignorant comments lately. I have no problems buying into the Gears hype because I do like the games, MP not so much but I'd never avoid a game because its big dog (in his own mind anyway) is a farthole.
Does he really expect us to believe that the team is only focusing on Gears 2 updates and that work hasn't already begun on Gears 3?
Sounds good. I expect a $39.99 price tag. Oh wait, it has Halo in the title so maybe 45 bucks then. Either way I'm on board since I've paid full price for some pretty bad games that came in around that same timeframe for story mode.
Maybe next time the reviewer should explain the score instead of talking about how solid it is and then scoring it a 5/10. I guess that because it follows the same script (hospital, subway, warehouse, etc...) as every other FPS out there that it was given such a deserving number. Will it suck that bad? I highly doubt it and my pre-order proves where I stand. The demo was short but pretty good (or should I say solid) IMO. I'd guess that in the end the reviews will fall in the 8.0-8.5 range.
I love the single player but I have to agree. The final battle was quite anti-climatic after several hours of building up to it. As for the other bosses I have no problem with them.
The first game was fracking amazing and if this one is even close to that in terms of story and gameplay then it'll be a worthy addition to any gamer's collection.
If it can maintain the atmosphere of the brief demo then it'll be a great purchase. I'm ready to pick up my pre-order now.
Uh what? I guess the 7.6% unemployment rate had nothing to do with it.
Bring it on! I enjoyed the heck out of the single player. I'm just not a big fan of the MP in Gears.
I agree that some games need no sequel but if it sells well; a sequel we will get or prequel.
Can't wait. I played the hell out of the first game. BTW is that Dale Earnhardt Jr. beating down those zombies?
My brother and I had recently been talking about the likelihood of backtracking to the Pendulum Wars after Gears 3. I certainly welcome that idea and it sounds like we'll get three prequels as well if it's a 10 year plan.
I have it on pre-order as well. I enjoyed the demo and can see how the head bob could distract some people but didn't bother me too much.
That is what happens when you spend all your waking hours in your grandma's basement lying naked next to a blowup sheep. It's inevitable that you'll have a lot of free time on your hands since without any resemblance of a job you can't afford to actually buy a console let alone any games. The demo was pretty good by BTW.
It is about as future proof as a fully invested 401K from Circuit City. No A/V component is future proof; it's good for a few years but there will be a PS4 so there's the proof of no such thing as future proof.
Not to mention that the PS3 is contributing to global warming. It consumes electrical power like Pac-man on crack.
Of those choices, I'd prefer Rhona Mitra. She very sexy, has the goods to play Lara and her acting is pretty good too. Megan Fox? Seriously? She's hot but too young and lacking in the talent department unless they're casting for the Young Lara Croft Chronicles.
Show me a MP game without glitches and then I'll be amazed. They are in the demo and they will be in the final product; it's just the nature of game design. People are very creative (used subjectively) when actively pursuing glitches to give themselves an added advantage and those on the development teams can't possible find them all during the design/testing process.
I wish MS didn't pack a mic with the console. Too many damn adolescent kids screaming curse words long before their balls have even thought of dropping.
