That is one nice lineup. All four games are day 1 purchases.
I see a lot of people (via killcam) running with pistols and doing quite well. I tend to run the launcher personally as I prefer to take planes out of the sky but the pistols seem fine to me.
Well said PotatoClock. It's infuriating to see a player go prone while shooting yet still kill you in the process. Cheap kill at its best. Keep prone away from your game, Dice.
Granted, something is better than nothing but a million dollars is equivalent to nothing in terms of a donation to help veterans. That won't even pay for the study to determine where the million should be spent to benefit those in need. Since day 1 sales equated to $360 million dollars, maybe you should loosen the pursestrings Activision.
Singularity is quite good considering the budget and the fact that the publisher dropped the ball. Another game that deserved more attention was Saboteur. Very fun to play but tons of lost potential as well.
What sucks is games that are launched glitchy as he'll. I'm looking at you MW2. Yet people still play the heck out of it and then go online and complain about how broken it is.
Haze (another Halo killer) is definitely in the top 5 and its omission is quite glaring.
I will be playing the hell out of it regardless but a new engine would have been greatly appreciated. Fallout 3 does look quite dated but is fun to play which counts more IMO.
If by "live up", you mean glitchy, broken, POS multiplayer, then yes it will. Hopefully Treyarch can leave most of the MW2 idiotic killstreak rewards behind and that'll be a start in the right direction. A nuke in under a minute, are you shitting me IW?
Where the hell is Dead Island? Wasn't it announced 5 years ago?
The Suffering was awesome. I'd add Dead Space as well, great atmosphere and surround sound to that game.
Hopefully better than Bioshock performed on PS3 since 360 moved nearly 2 million more copies.
I rarely play as a sniper (except on the game sniper) and agree that MW2 quickscoping sucks hard, but I'll gladly take them over commando marathoners any day. Getting a knife to the nuts by someone on the other side of the room running faster than a cheetah on roids ruins my game personally. Snipers exist for a reason and just like in gaming; they are the most despised and feared people on the battlefield. So keep whining since that's as close to modern warfare COD is ever going to ge...
Must say truly unexpected and utterly fantastic trailer.
I am still a huge fan of the King's Quest series and occasionally break out my favorite of the bunch (KQIII). I loved being able to shape-shift into an eagle and stuff my ears with dough and hear animals talking, it was pretty cool as a kid. Also loved Space Quest series.
I love a great story but judging by COD sales, more people are interested in online broken MP than good storytelling. Hence the dearth of great story campaigns with this generation of games.
Can't really argue with the article, pretty much spot-on. Fix the the broken MP experience (for love of God get rid of commando, marathon, and one man army) and I might buy it otherwise I'll rent and play the SP campaign and be done with it.
Not a fail but they lost me due to the same maps over and over. Same maps with different modes isn't really helping me out much when I'm still looking at the same scenery. Love the MP but simply got tired of the maps.
Not a bad list but fail for not having Fallout: New Vegas.
More RPG's will always be welcome. I'm sick to death of brokena$$ MW2 and the MOH beta was just more of the same. I play most FPS's but it's mostly to bide my time between other games like Fallout, Mass Effect, Alan Wake, Fable and Heavy Rain. So looking forward to New Vegas.
I'm with you. I had a blast playing it. Immature? Yes but we are playing a video game. Everyone else on here just wants the same ol' crap, like COD. God forbid, a game with some diversity in your kills.
