I have yet to play Folklore but I plan on it very soon.
Can hardly wait. I'm playing through Point Lookout now and I got my a$$ handed to me last night with my lvl 24 character. I died several times clearing out the first objective. I did much better today with a lvl 8 character. The game is awesome and I welcome any DLC. Looking forward to New Vegas as well. I do hope the achievements will be more creative in the next game. The ones in Fallout 3 are fine (although unimaginative for the most part) but I'd have liked to seen the main quest/side que...
Not a huge Halo fan but I do own them all and it'll sell like water before an asteroid impact. That being said, short and sweet pretty much sucks nowadays! Just like COD4, a 5 hour campaign for $60 is a joke. I understand that the MP adds tons to the game but not everyone values MP over story mode and those people get screwed. I'm not looking for Fallout 3 or Oblivion but an 8-10 hour campaign should not be that much to ask for when your shoveling out cash.
Already pre-ordered from Amazon and I'm not even a huge COD fan. It'll probably take longer to open the edition than it will to beat the story mode. Hopefully I'm wrong but after that five hour version I was pretty pissed. MP is great sometimes but don't skimp on the story.
I would only eat two things on that list: PB&J and popcorn. I rarely eat while gaming but when I do, it's usually carrots, fruits or maybe a granola bar.
The ads are just fine. I'm a recent (under 2 years) Mac convert and while I mostly love the product, it is overpriced like all Apple merchandise. However you get what you pay for with them. No issues whatsoever since I gave my Dell laptop to my daughter and picked up a Macbook Pro for me and an iMac for the den. Same complaints with my iPhones (4 total for family). We love them but it's a steep price to pay initially and monthly but it's definitely worth it.
Disappointing but not surprising considering that four different houses are working on the game.
No LAN = No Buy! At least for a few days then I'll cave.
Waiting impatiently for the game but that is likely 30 minutes too much.
Yea unsupervised kids and Live do not mix. I have no issue with the language as long as your old enough to put words together into a witty comment otherwise it is just annoying as $hit. I spent years in the Navy (submariner) and some of the filth expunged from kids online today embarrasses me. You would not see that if Live listed the street addresses of the user. Maybe that'll be the next update, then we can go and give them a proper blanket party when they're talking racist nonsense long be...
Nice article. I'm playing it now and it's a buyer IMO even after a couple hours into it. I play more games on the 360 but this game is very well executed and needs to be experienced if you enjoy sandbox titles in the least. I wasn't looking much forward to it but that was my mistake. The controls are well done and the gameplay is entertaining. I can't compare to Prototype since I haven't fired it up yet.
Exactly. Most games and shooters in general should at the very least have 2 player online co-op. MP is great and all (depending on how many kids are busting ur chops) but I prefer to play through most campaigns with an online buddy. There are exceptions though where I prefer to play alone such as Bioshock and Dead Space. Either way I'm thrilled that MW2 will have co-op. Now they can add guest sign-in too.
There is no denying PS3's killer lineup this year unless your riding a short bus to fanboy land. However MS always holds their cards close to the vest until the last possible second so I'm fairly certain a few more games are going to surprise us at E3.
Well I have been lucky since I still have a problem-free launch console along with a Halo edition. No issues to speak of but I do have climate-controlled electronics cabinets so maybe I'm not lucky after all. Just to throw fuel on the fanboys, I'm on my second PS3. :)
I'm sure Sony and the PS3 will do just fine in the long run but I am somewhat surprised by the graph. Yes there is a worldwide recession but gaming usually continues at a pretty steady pace since it's a good diversion from the realtime events surrounding us.
No problem at all. Now I can blame my crappy K/D ratio on lag issues. :) BTW I had no control issues whatsoever during the Beta.
Wow what a surprise! Like most of you I love COD4 but let's hope the team at Infinity Ward doesn't just rest on their laurels and give us a rehash of their last effort. While having amazing MP it lacked greatly in the too short, anti-climatic SP effort. I'm hoping for co-op and more uniform options this time around as well.
The reason is that PS3 owners just aren't buying the games. Look at the sales charts on almost any multiplatform title and the sales of the 360 software are often millions more than the same title on the PS3. Check them out; numbers don't lie. I'm a victim of it as well since I buy all multi games on the 360 due to that being the console choice of my friends. I have nearly seventy 360 retail games and 8 for the PS3 (number is likely to rise this year tho). The difference in total consoles pur...
Looks nice but not much to go on so I'll wait before I get too excited about it raising the gaming bar and all.
By the time these delays are over, we won't have any quality games to play until next year. What's next? Uncharted 2? Assassins Creed 2? Let's hope not. This year initially had so many (possible) AAA titles releasing that many wondered where to get the money to purchase them all. Now even a hobo can buy the titles we're left with in 09. Oh well, at least MW2 will get plenty of play time.
