Was there ever any doubt which Blu player was best?
The 360 version is again the winner IMO. There is much more detail in several clips. In the scene with the overhead camera and the snow and rocks under his feet, each individual rock stands out clearly whereas the PS3 version just blurs them together. Why does the PS3 versions continually look washed out in these comparisons? Anyway I plan on picking up the 360 version this weekend at the Toys r' Us 3-for-2 deal.
Very nice job with the nominations.
Fallout 3 - GOTY in my book
R2 - easily wins best MP or this thing is rigged.
Fable II - the writing wasn't very good IMO - not bad by any means but nothing to throw awards at either.
L4D - the AI was outstanding and deserves the nod.
LBP - probably should be eligible for GOTY but certainly the most innovative of the year.
My GOTY is Fallout 3 followed somewhat closely by MGS4. Fallout 3 just pulls you in and refuses to allow you to escape the wasteland. Bethesda did a wonderful job with the title.
Loved the first game. I was really fascinated by the character and the gameplay unlike many of you who complain about it being too repetitive and boring. I was playing a different game than you were obviously. As for the Revolution possibilities, it would be a great time for Altair to visit just as the author stated. Look forward to it.
Outstanding news. I love the first game so hopefully this one won't disappoint.
It is a horrible story but I am no fan of locking someone up for life. In this case these clowns should be tried, convicted and executed by the family's choice within the course of a day but instead we will pay for them to live somewhat comfortably (maybe not but likely) for the next 50 years. The American justice system needs a big damn overhaul.
I'd say that it is doubtful for 2009 and most likely won't surpass the 360 until the 720 is available. In the end the PS3 will sell more but it'll be due to MS moving on to the next console IMO.
Looks amazing regardless of its brief nature. Love the first but I'd like to see more exploration this time around and co-op would be a nice addition as well. 1st day purchase without a doubt.
Outfreakingstanding! I hope they have a little more exploration and a little less breakdancing bad guys this time around.
Well I picked up a handful of titles today so I'm doing my part but the prices still need to drop for it to really take hold of consumers.
I've had it for several weeks now but have only put about two hours into it. It's pretty good as far as gameplay and graphics but I've just had too many other games to play lately and it hasn't pulled me in like I'd hoped it would.
Yeah right and it plays worse than Blacksite: Area 51. I am not much of a fan of Midway but I did enjoy The Suffering.
I got a Beta invite today so hooray for me.
I loved the first game and actually never tired of the repetition but I understand how some could. I would hope for more variation in missions though in the next one. The game was a welcome deviation from the norm. If the sequel occurs during the French Revolution I'd say it'd revolve around the church and its failed attempts to keep power from transferring to the state. Like AC the possibilities are endless for the timeframe.
I'll be playing the demo but whether you get to play it or not isn't likely to deter you from a purchase. If like me, you love the series then it's an easy day 1 purchase regardless of demo and who plays it and who doesn't.
Like the boomerang but the ball is just odd and looks completely nonfunctional in terms of gameplay.
OVERRATED!! Only kidding. I didn't love the latest MGS installment and he sometimes says things that makes gamers scratch their heads (at least he's earned that right unlike others in gaming); his talent is undeniable. I still vividly remember moments from the first MG where the writing was amazing not only for a video game but in general. Congratulations Sir. Keep them coming.
The game is really good. The AI is pretty damn amazing all things considered. I expected it to be horrible on single player but that isn't the case. I've seen a couple dumb AI moments but that;'s to be expected. The MP is a lot of fun and is non-stop action. I already looked forward to the game but it exceeded my expectations. Don't hate on it if you haven't played it; just find someone with a 360 and you'll quickly forget that your a fanboy. It is a good game plain and simple.
Haze was a massive FLOP! I was really looking forward to the title and it only took thirty minutes for me to return it to Blockbuster. A game has to really suck for it to compare to Turning Point and Haze does just that. I like Mirror's Edge but it appears to be a flop as well. LBP isn't a flop; it'll do just fine over the course of the next several months. It didn't live up to the hype as far as initial sales but I think it will be just fine as will L4D.
