I must say that I agree with everything the writer had to say. It's a shame that simple things that could make a game great vs. a battle of frustration seem to often be overlooked by developers (FC2 almost instantaneously checkpoint respawns come to mind). I am hoping that the shooting/inventory will be changed but I highly doubt that to be true at this point. I dig the online co-op though.
Right. I inferred her to be a Wii girl whose fond of games involving lightsabers. Jokes. Everyone has jokes when it comes to such classy actresses and you know you are as fond of her work as I am. Plus she has no time to play with her PSP or PS3 with all the movies she pumps out.
You math adds up just fine. It's $2000 in a calendar year but you could drop that all on the last day of the year and qualify. I am a silver member and blow way too much money in that store but sadly I already have the game.
I am sure that I will buy day 1 (for co-op alone) but I find myself still debating that after playing the demo multiple times yesterday and today (co-op and single). I loved the feel of Shantytown but I continually got my a$$ handed to me on Public Assembly. That board is just too hectic and it's nearly impossible to get any items used/swapped before being attacked again. That would be okay if the melee wasn't so random but it is. I can go knife the heck out of several guys before I get an &q...
Great news and about time too. I played the heck out of the first one. I agree that the controls need some work and I'd venture to say (hope) that they'll be updated in the style of Dead Space.
Halo killer? Here we go again. KZ2 is going to be amazing or I hope it is anyway. I enjoyed the Beta but did not fall hopelessly in love with it like many of you. I play the Halo series but am not a big fan of it either. It is lacking on so many levels but the 4 player co-op is a blast to play and makes up for the other issues I don't like. Plus it has sold 10 million copies and KZ2 isn't going to come close to that...ever. As for an epic story, how about we wait and play the finished produc...
Well this has fueled the fanboy fires today. It's funny how so many PS3-only owners have all of a sudden never heard of the game. It was just chronicled in the last issue of Game Informer not to mention countless other outlets over the past few months. It looks pretty good from what I have seen but we need more before we get too excited. Regardless, it sucks for those PS3 owners that were looking forward to the title.
Downloading now but Fallout 3 was too easy as a whole. I finally made a mostly short bus rider with little intelligence (barely any repair or hacking ability) and almost melee only. Now the game is hard as hell but stealth makes up for it and makes the game much more interesting. Either way I am looking forward to the three rounds of DLC.
I read the reviews but if I am uncertain about a game, then I rent it first. You can get unlimited game rentals (1-2 out at a time) at local video stores for around $24/mo. I rarely blind buy games anymore because so many get released in an unfinished state.
There is nothing like the sound of an unlocked achievement. It is amazing how something so meaningless holds so much power over gamers (achievement/trophy ho's). I want to trade in my achievements/trophies for store credit. When is that going to happen? Never I presume.
Luckily I picked up the 360 version because I really like the game and am on my third character. PS3 folks are getting screwed over (again) by Bethesda. I agree with the main story being too short and the ending was tame considering the story to that point but I love V.A.T.S. and I think it was a good first effort by Bethesda for the Fallout series. They did enough right that they should be able to build a quality sequel. I'd tell them to have more diversity with the interiors and NPC's, hamm...
I have the same complaints as many others with the shooting aspects. The game looks great and the beginning when you first get charged by the zombies was a truly scary moment. I like that they can break through windows and doors but I think the shooting is going to drag the game down by causing many unnecessary deaths. It is such a simple thing so I can't imagine why it wasn't incorporated in the beginning of the build. The over-the-shoulder camera seems too close as well and I didn't see any...
I would not give a dollar for that POS yet alone ever play it again. It is horrible on every front and has not one redeeming factor.
It is about as doomed as the PS3 as in not at all. Software has always been the bread and butter of consoles. How is this news anyway?
MS missed a huge opportunity by not forcing the developers to add achievements to the Xbox Originals. So many of the gamers I run across online are achievement $luts and most would have purchased the old games by now for that reason alone. All they can do now is drop the price because those prices are too high for the most part.
No game is worthy of a 10. Any reviewer who issues such scores should be forced to spend the day on the Judas Cradle.
Finally something the man actually earned through his dedication (to making $hitty movies) and hard work. Congrats Sir, you deserve it.
That sucks for the employees, fanboy or not. Nearly all companies are trimming their workforce so it isn't likely to affect us gamers in a major way but I guess the Zune will be going the way of the Dodo.
1. Add guest sign-in.
2. Co-op
3. Longer single player campaign (MP was COD4's bread and butter but a 5 hour campaign is just sad)
Martyrdom isn't going anywhere. Half the players love and the other half loathe it. Plus I love seeing players get nailed by it since it sends them into an infuriating state for a few seconds (myself included).
Like the rest of you, I think the grenades are way out of hand. I know its a games but is is based on reality and being bombarded with 5-6 grenades every few seconds is completely unrealistic and frustrating to no end. I also agree that the AI is mentally incapable at the least on veteran difficulty. Make the AI smarter not dumber. Have them throw smoke, flank, and use suppressing fire instead of the cheap and easy way (grenades and stupidity). I picked up up a few vet achievements and then j...
