@Neonridr
"Strange that they opted to use DDR5 RAM in the PS4 though when even the newest PC motherboards are only using DDR4."
I can't believe you just typed that.
DDR5 doesn't even exist yet.
You're thinking of GDDR5 which is video RAM not system RAM like DDR3 or DDR4.
Xbox One uses DDR3 for the unified memory and PS4 uses GDDR5 for it's unified memory. Both are used on current PCs...
I'll be going to play the game on PC.
We haven't seen any gameplay yet from PC version as it's still under an embargo by Ubisoft for some reason.
PC Gamer said they'll have PC gameplay next week they can show. Until then all we have seen is Xbox One version as far as I know.
Can't wait to see the PC version in all it's glory :)
No one can just shoot you when you start.
You have to go to the Dark Zone for PvP and even then most people will be reluctant as they get marked as a Rogue agent and if they kill more people they have a bounty put on their head for all to see.
All the rest of the map is PvE friendly. So don't worry solo play is possible but not optimal for progressing through the campaign.
The Division should be played in coop with 2-4 players for the be...
Ubisoft need to go back to basics and figure out the next step as the current Assassin's Creed has become stale and unoriginal.
This is coming from someone who has all the AC to date.
It started off so promising in AC1. The next games we're good but they all followed the same cut/paste formula from thereon out.
I don't feel like an Assassin any more but a Collect-a-Bot hoovering up all the collectibles dotted around the place.
And should be on all platforms but they're not.
It's too expensive for me and that's all that matters.
Couldn't give a shit what some article says as they've probably been giving an Oculus for free to review.
Until the price drops massively this is just a niche peripheral which isn't an essential buy.
It will not become mainstream for at least another 2-4 years if it survives that long.
"Professional" reviewers aren't important in the long run.
Look what happened to Evolve. It was rated quite high by these so-called pro reviewers but the gaming community shunned the game because of the mass amount of DLCs.
If the microtransactions are detrimental to the game Ubisoft will soon know about it from gamers that bought the game and are now getting a refund or trading it in.
All 3 platforms are getting the beta if you have preordered, get a beta key or there's a chance you get invited if you sign up at the website.
A shame the public beta is only for consoles.
PC gamers are left out as usual by AAA developers.
Brilliant game. I was one of the kickstarter backers for The Banner Saga.
The Banner Saga Part 2 is coming out soon as well.
Looks good. Can't wait for the beta to start.
I'll be playing this with 2 friends on PC at launch :)
How does it function? Have you got yours already?
There could be a fault in the design for all you know :)
Let's see how it performs and hope there isn't any technical faults with the product or you're looking at a full recall :P
They should have just launched it in US market first.
Once they've got to the stage where they have mass production going and a lower price launch it in other countries.
Palmer Luckey doesn't seem to be doing himself any favours with his arrogant and out of touch attitude.
Maybe he should have a bit of empathy for fans of his product as he wasn't a millionaire when he started the kickstarter but after Facebook bought out Oculus Ri...
Patch 1.12 is coming today for all platforms but they won't be an Enhanced Edition.
@robtion
The Witcher game trilogy is based on a series of books by Andrzej Sapkowski so it's not owned by CDPR. It's the same with Cyberpunk 2077 as it's based on a tabletop RPG of the same name.
The 2 worlds will not intersect with each other as they are 2 different IPs.
Only around 5% of gaming PCs are powerful enough to run Oculus Rift so yes it's a niche product for the next 2-3 years.
It'll be a hard sell for a lot of people at this price considering it's an optional peripheral.
If the number of users aren't there you really think developers will put time and money developing games for OR getting little profits in return?
They haven't sold any yet.
They only take the money once it's despatched in March.
And how many have they reserved in each batch? Nobody knows :)
This isn't a phone. It's an optional device for PC.
I won't be buying an Oculus for at least 3-4 years till the price has come down to a level that's affordable.
I'll research if it even has a place in PC gaming or it's just going to be a gimmick like motion controls or Kinect on consoles.
Oculus is not an essential buy it's a niche product atm and will probably stay that way till the price drops especially in UK a...
Supposedly only about 5% of PC gamers PCs are up to par to run Oculus Rift. I certainly aren't.
That will be the one hurdle if people actually want OR. It will also be a problem for Oculus as well as the market won't be that big for the next year or 2.
People need to spend money to upgrade their PCs first before even thinking about buying into VR.
We'll all see next week when online gaming websites are allowed to post videos and screenshots of the PC version.
