So Farcry Primal has Denuvo AND Uplay DRM. The steam version has Steam, Uplay and Denuvo DRM.
When does it end? DRM only puts off people from buying the games.
This is not going to end well for publishers if they think their profits will increase with this double and triple lock DRM.
Just think of the videos and screenshots at E3 as concept art.
It won't look like that on your console or PC at release.
It'll be changed and adjusted as development progresses.
I've no idea why people get so worked up from screens from E3. It's a marketing venue and not for consumers to take seriously but fellow developers/publishers and gaming media to see what's coming in the future.
Consumers watch it ...

Bit late then as we'll be seeing the game ourselves next week when we play the beta on 29th.
These embargoes are pathetic. Only a company with no confidence in their product enforces embargoes.
Typical Microsoft stunt though.
Yes the modders behind The Long War mod for XCOM EU/EW have created their own company to develop their own game but they are also partnering up with Firaxis to create mods for XCOM 2.
It should be a lot easier to create mods for XCOM 2 now that the devs are supplying the mod tools.
Yes.
To me it says the AAA gaming industry is running out of ideas and creativity.
Look at what's happening with Hollywood atm. Rehashed older films brought up to date with CGI crap.
Both are cash grabs.
The more time and resources they put into remasters the less time is spent on new IPs.
Why would I want to get a console I already have a gaming PC?
The consoles are a low spec PC with just as many problems with games as the PC has.
How about you blame the developers or publishers for releasing such shoddy ports instead of fellow gamers?
I've never bragged about my specs or PC gaming in general.
Looks like some of us out of control PC gamers have more control than some console gamers *cough* PizzaSteve *cou...
I guess it depends if the developer wants to sell more or less copies than expected.
I'm on a wait and see stance atm. I know next to nothing about this game as it's been wrapped up in secrecy for so long.
Steam preorders are around 2.2k sold so far so I guess price does matter :)
I think the feeling is mutual.
Many PC gamers don't like WB Games either including myself.
After Batman AK they'll never be trusted again along with Rocksteady.
They dug their own grave with PC gamers releasing Mortal Kombat X and then Batman AK in the state they were in. Good riddance.
There's only 1 proper console game (MGS5) on that list the rest are still PC exclusive or started on PC.
Imagine gaming today without Medal of Honor Allied Assault which brought about Call of Duty.
Adventure games like Myst, Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, Grim Fandango, Sam and Max and many more.
UFO Enemy Unknown, Civilization, Dune, C&C, Sim City for strategy games.
Console gamers today see PC gaming as irrelevant but you wouldn't be playing a lot of the modern games you play today if it wasn't for PC gaming and gamers from 20...

My precious Xbox? You assume too much as I don't own an Xbox or PS4.
I'm a PC gamer and just pointing out your ignorance :)
Never judge a book by it's shitty title.
So? The video is 1440p 60fps not the console.
It's a really good 50 mins video too with Jackfrags and co.
The screen tearing is from the video not the game.
It looks pretty damn good to me but I'll be playing on PC not consoles.
If you're comparing the E3 2013 video to this one and accusing it of being downgraded you are so wrong.
The E3 video would have never looked like that on consoles in any universe as the consoles aren't powerful enough to be any where close to those visuals.
Just see it as a proof of concept of...
You replied so you must care :)
Totally agree.
How can it be a downgrade on consoles when it wasn't displayed on a console in the first place?
That E3 2013 video was like a concept art showing what might be possible and the potential the game may have.
All videos from E3 are like that. Don't ever compare these videos to the finished product on any platform even the PC.
There will always have to be compromises to the developers vision of their game. ...

The Division isn't Evolve. It might fail but it's not because the NPCs are bullet sponges.
I'll still be playing the game a month or 2 after release and I'm betting millions of other people will too.
You wanting this game to fail doesn't mean it will.
It feels like you have a hidden agenda so I'm guessing you are a Destiny fan and you don't want you precious game to lost it's ...
I'm guessing you haven't played many RPGs or MMOs before?
The Division is not a military simulator it's a 3rd person RPG shooter with MMO features.
Destiny's mobs were bullet sponges too but I don't see anyone complaining about that.
The Division is a game so play it as such :)
I'm quite looking forward to The Division on PC myself as I already have a party of 3 for coop and maybe Dark Zone adventures ...
Massive Entertainment was a PC only developer. They developed Ground Control and World in Conflict series exclusively for PC.
Two of the other developers working on The Division also have ties to PC only development.
These are Ubisoft Reflections and Ubisoft Red Storm.
The developers are Massive Entertainment who are PC developers from 15+ years ago with Ground Control and World in Conflict.
They know what they are doing when it comes to PC.
Can't wait till release :)
And you can come back when AAA developers treat all formats as equals.
You expect AAA games to do well on PC when most games are so poorly developed by greedy console developers/publishers? It's no wonder the sales on PC don't do as well as on consoles.
There is one factor to take into account. Consoles are game starved in the beginning of their launch so people buy any game they can get their hands on resulting in huge sales.
