LOL, right. funny thing I was introduced to Diablo(and rpgs) via Diablo for the PS1 and IMO it played fine.

One bad game does not put them at that level. If their next game does the same thing, then we can say something. They have a track record of excellent game sand excellent support, until CP2077 so odds are their next game will be amazing. If not, then we can lament the fall of a great studio.

Mmmmm, not really. CDPR had an insane amout of cred in the gaming community prior to this and one bad release doesn't erase that. If their next game is like this, then yes, they will become the new Bioware, but right now, I see a track record of excellent games and one pushed out 3-5 months early.

I hope so. These IPs have real value and just to let them sit around and collect dust is foolish. Find some good dev teams and put your IPs to work.

Yeah, saw that too. I'm like DA4 wasn't restarted. That said, I am super excited for it's release. Each game has gotten better gameplay wise and IMO, even tho DA2 was a step back in the story dept(most likely due to it's incredibly rushed schedule), DA3 was fun to play as a game and enjoy as a story. After the failure of Anthem and MEA, I think DA4 will be a smash hit because Bioware will do everything they can to restore the name of their once great studio.

First...this looks awesome. Second, unfortunately this all but guarantees Diablo 4 won't be out this year, which we kind of knew but this solidifies it.

And Sony is kicking butt everywhere else. Unless XBSX has alot of must have exclusives(which even Bethesda can't do), PS5 looks to have already won another generational war

The first one had a ton of potential but felt like it either needed more time/money to achieve what they were trying to do. Hopefully this time, they'll have it. I also didn't like that you had this giant hulking protagonist and yet still had to make an "rpg" from it. It felt weird playing him as a rogue.

Is the XBS S slower than the XBS X? I thought it was just missing the blu ray drive.

I was an original kickstarted backer. There is no (good)reason this has taken this long. Chris has the idea that the entire game and the equivalent of every DLC Expansion and Sequel need to be ready before releasing it. The could have released the base game, finished, and THEN worked on the extra stuff. Instead everything is being developed in parallel and it's like dude, just release the friggin thing already.

Honestly, this it their first FPS hybrid...and it shows. It's a very good game, but it lacks some of the refinement found in other FPS games. I suspect the next big game out of them will be a witcher game focused on Ciri, but if they do make a sequel(whcih I think they will), it will likely be alot more refined.

People forget that though The Witcher 3 was amazing, The Witcher 1 had alot of rough edges. It was basically saved by it's story. Witcher 2 improve on the g...

Wow, almost like CDPR is an amazing studio that supports their products. Take note every other big studio out there.

I thought the game awards were Thursday?

Yeah Polygon is super woke and writes their reviews as if gamers care about their politics. We want to play a game, not make sure it has every single gender type known to man.

Apparently there is a massive(10s of gigs) day one patch. CDPR is a good developer and I'll bet most is not all the major bugs will be squashed within 1 months of release.

1869d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Honestly, it's why there should be two review scores, one content and the other technical. If it has some bugs, lower the review score but good developers patch bugs, and CDPR is a good developer. Don't lower the review score for something that can be patched within a month or so.

Honestly, if they go with the top down gameplay...what's the point. You already had Twin Snakes for improved graphics. I say make it from the ground up with the Fox Engine or whatever engine allows for good stealth.

Not sure Snake Eater really needs it. The PS2, while primitive by today's standards, still was able to present the game very well visually, and actually holds up kinda well today.

MGS1 on the other hand looks really bad since it was the first 3d generation.
