That's the paradox, most of the country doesn't care. It's only the super left vocal minority that makes it seem like the entire world cares what their child's identity is at 3 years old. At 3y/o, your child doesnt have a concrete identity. Most kids go thru phases of being different than expected. If my parents took seriously every little whim I had, i'd be in trouble.
IMO Google is heading towards an antitrust/anti-monopoly case if they keep getting bigger, especially if they keep discriminating against conservative content. Either they are a platform or they are not. If they are, then they can't be biased. If they're a publisher, then they can be biased but also come under other laws they aren't currently under.
E3 is becoming less important as other events and companies host their own events. Honestly not sure why you'd want to shell out the money for something like Blizzcon when E3 already had the infrastructure but there you go. Someone thought it was a good idea.
Which one? There are quite a few of them?

The only hit box I felt was really off so far was the Great Shinobi Owl fight. His slash attacks feel like they have a hitbox beyond the actual slash.
Show us Hanzo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) Seriously tho, looks really good. Feels like they took SS2 and gave it 3d characters and backgrounds. IIRC combos were never really a part of Samurai Showdown like SF or MK as Ive heard a few people asking about the lack of combos.
I am all for making game accessible for those with disabilities, but that doesn't mean you artificially change your product. The onus is on PS4 to allow disabled people to play games, not the devs. And why are these people all of a sudden complaining about From's difficulty. Sekiro isn't any worse than Dark souls when you play without a guide.
Exactly. That's like saying a restaurant needs to serve all kinds of food, and not be casual or fine dining. Or professional football should allow all people to play regardless of physical capability. From makes a product, and that product appeals to certain types of gamers. If you don't like it....don't play it. Now, you could argue from a business perspective From's games should be more widespread appealing but that's not the argument he makes. It's just another snow...
FWIW, this is likely the future where instead of buying a console, you buy a subscription to a service and then rent or buy games that stream....problem is, as fast as the internet is in some places, it's not universal enough to dethrone conventional consoles yet.
They mean post Google entering the gaming market. It would be like analyzing the gaming market pre and post Sony.
Yes! Seriously, it makes no sense to hold these IPs if you aren't going to make money from them. It is possible no one wants to make a game based on the LoK IP but I doubt it. A well made game with that IP should do well.
Agreed. The Souls formula has become a tad stale. Dark Souls 3 honed the formula to near perfection and as great as the game was, it's essentially Demon's Souls with a tighter combat system, better graphics and a ton of nostalgia.
The combat in Sekiro does look souls-ish but if feels more action orientated, which makes sense because this is an action game, not an rpg.
This has got to be one of the silliest articles I've seen. Bloodborne was a great game but Dark Souls 3 was arguably even better. Plus Sekiro is NOT a souls game. It's not even an rpg. Like it for what it is, not that you want a Bloodborne sequel.
Devil May Cry 5 is a good game, and I don't like it any less because the director could have made Dragon's Dogma 2 instead(which would have been my preferred choice).
Exactly and like every game service/console before it, it's about the games games games. Make or host good games, you'll do well. Google has enough money to really push this so it'll be interesting if Sony/Microsoft pull an old school nintendo and make developers/publishers sign exclusive contracts for non exclusive games.
I would say if you create a character, and it fits the story, and happens to represent a less represented group of people, go for it. I would even say if you say "We want this game to appeal to this group of people" then create a character that does that, fine.
What's not fine is shoehorning in a character to check off a box and say "look how diverse our game is...it has xyz groups represented".
I was thinking the 100% same thing. Polygon has become the bash anything even remotely traditional or conservative game site.
Oh yeah, i remember after B/W 1. Peter Molenueax was this genius developer...then BW2 happened...and Fable...and it was like...dude what happened.
Legacy of Kain was so much more than "ooooh, it's vampires". In fact, if you made them werewolves, the story would have been pretty much identical. As a HUGE LoK fan tho, I'm surprised #1 no single player games have been released in so long(and Dark Sun didn't look like LoK at all) and #2, if SE isn't going to use the IP, sell it to a studio that will. What do they gain holding an IP if they aren't going to monetize it?
Agreed. They still want to get some juice out of the PS4 Pro and just announcing PS5 for 2020 will keep alot of people from buying a PS4 Pro.
My feelings disagree with your facts.
