Same here, there is a good game in there some where, but it feels like DA:3 but dumbed down for a wider audience

This type game begs to be played on the PC for mouse support, and mods. I haven't played the OG for a long time...is combat improved?
I tend to agree. They're just click-baity articles or for people who have to have all info on a p[articular game...wake me up when we get gameplay footage!
Starting from witcher 1 thru 3, each game has improved on it's combat. Witcher 3 doesn't have all time great combat like an Elden Ring, but it is definitely a fun combat system.
I expect the next game to continue this improvement trend.
That said, none of CDPR's games are known for their combat first. Their most recent, CP2077, while it has pretty good FPS combat, it's by no means amazing.
Also, given the disaster that was CDPR on...
I'd say it's more like Elden Ring 1.25. It feels like a DLC but is the size of a full game. To my knowledge, no new combat mechanics are in there.
I love it but it feels like more Elden Ring, which is great, with harder base enemies lol.

VGAs for me are just a place where I watch new trailers and debut announcements. I literally don't watch a single award and could care less who is nominated.
That said, anyone who has played shadow of the erdtree knows why its GOTY material. Its the size of a standalone game and excellent!
Looks like it could be good. I like the southern setting, gameplay looked a bit generic in the teaser so hopefully it will be a success!

Haha, I was thinking the same thing. I do actually think at some point, if I don't pass away in the next 10 years, this game will be great, but this game has been totally mismanaged. Instead of building each part of the game individually, they decided to seemingly build all parts of the game at the same time. It's like instead of building a city building by building, you start 100 buildings all at the same time.

If there was someway to upgrade like a PC for a few hundred, might be worth it, but $700 for a whole new console when the PS6 is rumored for 2026...not hard to say no.

LOL if you're hoping this will be an easy souls game... doubt it. It might not be Malenia difficult(even Malenia shouldn't be Malenia difficult lol), but I don't see it being anywhere near casual difficulty.

DAV was built mostly when woke was really popular and the dems were in the office. Well, that bubble have very much burst and I remember seeing a quote from a current mass effect dev, responding to the bad backlash about how bad DAV was(on so many levels) and instead of defending them, he was like "ME devs are not DAV devs", which was a PC way to say ME isn't plagued by woke nonsense. I hope he's right.
