Those opinions baffle me. You and I are obviously wired differently. I thought Halo ODST and Alan Wake both looked absolutely fantastic.
All I know is that the Microsoft press event was one of the best I have ever seen. They really hit it out of the ball park. As a 360 owner I am 110% satisfied.
There is a wide gulf between the technology behind the EyeToy or Wiimote and the Natal tech.
Here is an excellent interview with Peter Molyneux about Milo and the Natal technology.

It is quite informative.
You said something good about the 360. That is a definite no-no 'round these parts. At least among a certain radical segment of the resident population.
What the f@ck is wrong with you two? You both sound like xenophobic nationalists. "Jap thieves"? "fat retarded Americans"? Damn, if everybody was as chauvinistic and prejudiced as you two the whole world would be constantly at war.
I am so glad that Microsoft didn't just go with something simplistic like the Wiimote. This is on a whole different level. I don't think people even realize the implications of this.
This is like the holy grail of input technologies. This has been a dream for a long time--to finally be able to control your software with no controller or other device, just your body and your voice.
Not that it will replace tradition input methods. Instead it will be an alternative to ...
I completely agree. I find it highly unlikely that Kojima would be working on two separate MGS games at the same time--one exclusive and one multiplatform. It's not impossible, but if I had to bet...
Metal Gear Solid Rising is the next game in the series. The other Kojima game will be something completely different.

Hey, them be fightin words! JK
No, but seriously, I think ODST looks amazing and can't wait to play it.
Why can't some people admit that Microsoft had an amazing press conference? Nevermind, I know why.
Anyway, all the big gaming sites are saying that it was a great showing and many are even saying that it was Microsoft's best showing ever. I have to agree. I was really impressed by what they brought to the table this year. Just awesome.
It shows how little they understand about the technology behind the consoles. Alan Wake and Splinter Cell Conviction already look better than Killzone 2 in many ways.
I think Natal was easily the highlight of the show, even among all the other awesome announcements. It wowed me more than anything.
The potential of this technology is staggering.
Sony better have some better games to announce than those because those games aren't going to be enough to go against what Microsoft has coming for the 360.
Uncharted 2
God of war 3
MAG
Heavy Rain
MGS exclusive title
WhiteKnighchronicles
Uncharted 2 and GOW3 are going to be awesome games for sure, but the other games have a lot to prove or are not even announced.
Uncharted 2 is going to have to go against games like Splinte...
What, you mean no guns like in Uncharted 2, Chaos Theory, Heavy Rain and Ratchet & Clank? Is that what you mean?
If you are going to be so absurd as to include Alan Wake in the shooter genre, I think it is pretty hypocritical considering the kind of games in the PS3's lineup. Besides, Forza 3 doesn't have guns and is a Microsoft game. So it looks like your little tirade was just a straw man.
So? Those are all huge games that people have been wanting. They also have Alan Wake (which looks awesome, btw) and Shadow Complex.
The known PS3 lineup is also filled with primarily sequels: Uncharted 2, God of War 3, Ratchet & Clank Crack in Time (8?), GT5, etc. Sure, there is also Heavy Rain and maybe a couple other games, but the 360 has a few new franchises as well.
The Microsoft event was exceptionally good. Quit trying to spin it. It only makes you ...
It was a excellent showing. Several MAJOR exclusives, a few surprise games, awesome announcements with regard to new features for the 360 UI and Xbox LIVE, and some very impressive demonstrations of the Project Natal technology. Awesome all around.
I predict Sony is going to have a great showing as well, and they are going to need to because Microsoft nailed it this year.
I think of Gears every time I have seen this game. Doesn't mean it is bad, but you're not being honest with yourself if you can't see the strong resemblance.
Oh, believe me, I don't underestimate the strength of Sony in the game market. They are going to show incredible stuff no doubt. The problem I have is that a lot of people underestimate Microsoft and don't give them the props they deserve.
Why do so many people have to hate one in order to love the other? That makes no sense to me. Both platforms have plenty to offer.
Yep, that one, Crackdown 2 and Halo Reach were big surprises for me.
