Microsoft's conference kicked @ss. Anybody that denies that it was a good showing is a lying fanboy.
Yeah, they should have had Forza 3 on the list. That is going to be a huge game.
So? Uncharted also had quite a bit of screen tearing. I own both games and the tearing is no big deal in either game. I don't like it, but it doesn't ruin the experience.
Heck, I think even Bioshock looks better than Gears of War (which looks noticeably better on the 360 btw). I have both consoles and in my opinion PS3 exclusives like Uncharted and Killzone 2 look fantastic. That said, I think many people over exaggerate how good they look.
Most PS3 exclusives that I have played, including Infamous, LittleBigPlanet, Motor Storm and Heavenly Sword all look good, but are not showing graphics any better than what can be commonly found on the 360. ...
That's true. Some people are always trying to downplay what the 360 is doing, but the awesome games keep coming.
Great list. I am especially looking forward to the top 4 games on the list: Halo ODST, Splinter Cell Conviction, Alan Wake and Mass Effect 2. All 4 of those games are 10s in terms of the degree of my wanting them. I am also really looking forward to Uncharted 2 and GOW3 on the PS3 side. And Assassin's Creed 2, Bioshock 2, Modern Warfare 2 are some of the multiplatform games I am most looking forward to.
Even just based on what has already been announced I am so excited for...
I am sure the MS conference is going to reveal some awesome stuff. Can't wait. Not too long to go now.
That's nonsense. The 360 doesn't have a game "drought".
Halo Wars is a great game and many people will also really get some enjoyment out of Ninja Blade. A lot of people probably haven't even gotten around to playing all the good games from just this past holiday.
I find it baffling that because the PS3 has had one more good game than the 360 SO FAR this year, suddenly the 360 is in a game drought.
Infamous is basically equal to Halo Wars i...
I fully realize that the part about me buying multiplatform games for my 360 is simply my preference. The list of upcoming games I plan on getting is likewise a matter of personal preference. But that's just the thing, not everybody is going to agree about which console has the better lineup.
The only objective way you could measure such a thing is to compare the NUMBER of upcoming exclusives for both consoles. Everything else is subjective or is not measurable yet. We don't ...
I own both consoles. How is buying games I want for the 360 "bending over for MS"?
You fanboys and your non-existent logic...
If inFamous is a good game, so is Halo Wars. I like them both.
Obviously it is complete BS to say that the 360 "hasn't had anything good since the NXE". The PS3 has had one more relevant game than the 360 so far this year. One game. Take away Killzone 2 and the lineups are about equal.
The thing is, the year is far from over. The PS3 might have had one more good game in the early part of the year but the 360 might have more games in the second half of ...
The problem I see is that PS3 fanboys act like Halo Wars is mediocre, while treating inFamous like the second coming and fully deserving of triple-A status. When in fact, the two games really aren't that far apart in terms of critical reception. Halo Wars is a really fun and well-made game and is basically equal to inFamous in terms of any measurable metric.
So that means the PS3, so far, has had one more good exclusive this year than the 360. Take away Killzone 2 and the line...
GOWIII isn't likely to come out this year and will probably be up against Mass Effect 2 in the first part of next year.
Personally, I want Mass Effect 2 more than just about any other game. Yes, more than GOW3. I am going to love GOW3, but Mass Effect 2 beats it for me. In terms of critical and commercial success, I think they will both do really well.
Man, we have a bunch of one-trick ponies in here. The only way they seem to be able to attack the 360 or microsoft is with some lame and played out RROD joke.
Funny, it's my original Xbox that still works to this day, while my PS2 stopped reading discs a long time ago.
I think a Microsoft hand held would be awesome and would give Nintendo and Sony some strong competition.
Baloney, I own both consoles and from where I'm sitting the lineups for both consoles look about equal.
So far this year, a similar number of exclusives were released for both consoles. The 360 had games like Halo Wars, Ninja Blade, Velvet Assassin and several prominent DLC releases. The PS3 had games like Killzone 2, MLB 09 and Infamous. Sure, the PS3 games averaged higher review scores, but nevertheless the numbers have been pretty equal and ultimately it is still going to...
There have nearly always been three players in the home console market and I don't see any reason why the hand-held market couldn't support 3 or more competitors as well. As a general rule the benefits of competition far outweigh any negatives.
For me, personally, the hand-held market feels kind of stagnant right now. The kinds of games I want to play aren't being made with any regularity. I think part of the problem is that the DS and PSP aren't really direct competitors with...
Splinter Cell Conviction is one of my most anticipated games and I think it is really going to impress a lot of people when it is revealed at E3. It has been confirmed over and over to be exclusive to the Microsoft platforms, so I don't think we really need this "reaffirmation".
Who cares if it is on PC, most gamers today are console gamers and could care less about PC gaming. PC gaming is a fraction the size of console gaming. I have a PS3 and a 360 and if it doesn't come out for either of those systems I won't be playing it.
I know it is a convenient excuse for people who only own a PS3 to pretend that they all have gaming PCs, but it's abundantly obvious most of them are full of it. In either case, you're still playing on a Microsoft platform.
Well I own both machines and I don't agree that the PS3 is doing better on the exclusives front. Last holiday I actually bought more 360 exclusives. So far this year the PS3 has had like one more good game, but so what? It's still early in the year.
So far this year, I liked Halo Wars and Ninja Blade (not mind blowing, but pretty fun) on the 360 and Killzone 2 and Infamous on the PS3. So that is hardly a big difference. If the 360 has just one more must-have game by the en...
That goes head to head graphically with anything on the PS3. I absolutely can't wait to play this game. I am a huge fan of this franchise and the first 3 games are actually some of the few games that I have kept around from last generation.
