If Microsoft get a 3rd party game to come to their platform all the PS3 fans act like they're doing something dastardly, but if Sony get's a 3rd party game to come over to their console it is just "good job Sony". When Agent and Final Fantasy XIV were announced as exclusives for the PS3 I didn't hear a peep from the PS3 fanboys about Sony writing checks or "buying exclusives".
The irony that Sony has spent millions on outright buying up studios while complain...
I agree with you Arnon. PS3 fanboys will deny it forever, but there is no doubt, Alan Wake looks better than anything on the PS3. The textures, the animations, the insane lighting engine and the overall detail in the world are second to none.
No company "blew away the competition" at E3. That is just blatant fanboy hyperbole.
Nevertheless, I do think Microsoft had the better showing this year. Sony's was not far behind, but it was a little disappointing for me. It was nice to see some more gameplay from Uncharted 2 and GOWIII, but other than that I wasn't really excited by anything else.
The PSP GO would have had a lot more impact had we not already known about it before E3 ever started. I...
GarandShooter, you seem to believe that the fanboyism is equal on both sides, but I'm sorry, I just don't agree.
The PS3 fanboys on this site are far more numerous and in general are more irrational and less willing to give recognition where it is due when it comes to the other console.
There are definitely some 360 fanboys that are just as bad, but they are only a few (I could name most of them off the top of my head, but I'm not going to call out anyone in part...
I feel the same way. I really expected Sony to have more surprise announcements of games we might get to play soon. At this point the only game I am getting for my PS3 that I know is coming out this year is Uncharted 2. Admittedly Uncharted 2 is a hugely anticipated game for me, but dang, it's still just one game.
I somehow knew this would happen. Microsoft kept quiet and all the PS3 fans started claiming victory for Sony and saying the PS3 had a better lineup for the year. ...
Well, considering how every Microsoft related news story yesterday and last night was dominated by PS3 fanboys, you guys really don't have anything to complain about. Believe me, you don't.
When there were news stories about big game sites like IGN praising Microsoft's event and saying they hit it out of the ball park 360 fans weren't allowed to just "have their celebration". It was sh!t on by a bunch of jealous fanboys.
And Foxgod is right. You can't sa...
Well, does anybody want to make any wagers? I am willing to bet that most of the gaming press will see Microsoft's press event as the best of the three. Any takers?
Of course no-name fanboy blog sites on all sides are going to blindly proclaim their favored company "won" E3, because that's what they do. But they are irrelevant.
Yeah, most of which are multiplatform games. Do you want to know how many games the 360 has coming out this year?
I like the PS3, but many of the PS3 fans on this site are absurd. They won't give credit where it is due and are always attacking the 360 with flat out lies or faulty reasoning.
This has to be a joke. The Sony conference was a big let down. Don't get me wrong, it was decent and definitely a lot better than Nintendo's, but it wasn't nearly as good as Microsoft's. Especially after the way all the PS3 diehards were hyping it and claiming it was going to destroy Microsoft's. Puhleese.
Almost everything they showed we already knew about. They spent a lot of time on the PSP GO and it was boring. $250 for that thing is too much anyway, I'll definitely be ...
Guys, most of you are Playstation fanboys so it is no surprise why you take the stance you do, but I think it is kind of silly.
It goes without saying that the 360 is never going to have any of the Nintendo or Sony first party exclusives, but as far as any significant 3rd party franchise that is even possible of coming over to the 360, Microsoft have done a very good job of making those games available for their customers. I agree with Microsoft in that they have now got pretty ...
Well, this is what everybody was expecting. We'll see if it is confirmed or not.
Few games have me as excited as Mass Effect 2. It is going to be epic.
Right off the bat you can tell that the lighting has been improved. The graphics in general just look great.
How can anyone deny that this game is one of the best-looking games on consoles?

In terms of detail, in terms of lighting and in terms of post-processing effects Alan Wake is easily among the very best graphics we have seen on consoles this generation.
Here are a couple screen shots from other graphically advanced games for comparison...
What's your point? Yes, Resident Evil 5 is also one of the best looking games on consoles. But that doesn't stop Alan Wake from being absolutely amazing graphically.
I just hope he was telling the truth. That ninja game sounds amazing (if it actually exists).
Oh well, only a few more hours to wait until we find out.
Well, it would be cool if Sony revealed 3 new exclusives. That's what Microsoft showed. Crackdown 2, Left4Dead 2 and Halo Reach were all surprises.
Sony will definitely have some surprises and I can't wait to find out what they are.
It looks awesome. Just need to take off your fanboy goggles.
How come it is only PS3 fanboys that think it doesn't look good? Most game sites like IGN are reporting it to be one of the most exciting games at the event.
You're absolutely blind if you thought Alan Wake's graphics didn't look good. Those are some of the best graphics I have ever seen.
I hope you realize Montreafart that nobody takes you seriously. All the major game sites are praising Microsoft's showing and nobody is going to listen to some clearly delusion radical PS3 fanboy ranting in the comments section of N4G.
Look, somebody doesn't have to personally like a game to be glad that it is coming to the system they own. It enriches the console and the fact that some people are going to buy it and enjoy it makes the console that much more successful, thus insuring continued strong support. It's not really that difficult to understand is it?
Remember, a lot of PS3 fans were also saying that they didn't really care about the game, yet many PS3 fans were also happy about the announcement and ...
