Once again many of the PS3 fanboys on this site reveal just how dishonest and ignorant they are.
Of course it is "smoke and mirrors", it is whole bunch of cool tech brought together to give the illusion of life. If you had read even a single article or interview with Peter Molyneux you would know this. In a sense, illusion is what all interactive entertainment (video games) is about.
The fact that some people are going "ah ha, I caught you, Milo is...
Sony had a great show and no one is denying that. The fact remains though, that most people, gamers and journalists alike, thought Microsoft had the better showing. That includes people and gaming sites from all over the world.
Just based on the games alone I think Microsoft did a little better than Sony. The problem with Sony is they always show their games way in advance and so we see some of the same games at multiple E3s. This gives the impression that Sony has a much lar...
Gruesome! But that is what God of War has always been like.
The graphics are nice too.
Hip Hop Gamer seems pretty fair and impartial. I thought he had some good stuff to say and I actually agreed with most of what he had to say. Splinter Cell Conviction and God of War 3 are going to be insane. Great E3 all around. Every company improved from last year in my opinion, so that is a good thing for gamers, no matter which systems you own.
Uncharted was pure magic. Honestly, I know that I lean more towards the 360, but despite the disagreements I have with some of you here I love my PS3 as well. And I'll tell you, Uncharted is so good that I think it is worth owning a PS3 for that game alone.
Sony is very lucky to have Naughty Dog on their team, because they are easily one of the most talented group of developers out there.
Uncharted 2 is one of the best upcoming games by far. Day one purchase for m...
It's clear now that the majority of gamers and gaming journalists thought Microsoft had the best showing. Several large polls have been done showing a majority thought Microsoft had the best announcements and most of the gaming press has expressed the same thing.
Microsoft had the better lineup of games that we will be getting to play this year and they spent more time demoing their games than talking about them.
Several surprising big announcements were also made, ...
All companies hype their products. Curiously, it is Sony, not Microsoft, that I find tends to hype their stuff the most and make promises that are never really fulfilled.
I never complained about the motion controls. The only problem I have ever had with the Wii is the kinds of games that it offers and the relative imprecision of the Wiimote. Not motion controls in general.
You call it ads, but really it is just a bunch of cool stuff to check out that is changing all the time. The XMB is functional, but it feels barren in comparison. I love being able watch streaming vids about games and services I am interested in. I personally think the NXE dashboard is a lot better than the bare bones interface on the PS3. The XMB is also kind of boring to me because I have been using the same interface since the launch of the PSP.
@lloyd_loser
If all you can say is you think it looks like fail, just quit coming into these threads and talking crap. Ok, we get it. It's not on the PS3 and so it automatically sucks. You are completely predictable and you aren't adding anything to the discussion.
Because Sony has only had like 2 or 3 full retail titles that weren't online-only games. Hardly what you would call a service. More like an exception to the rule.
The games on demand feature is very cool on its own, but for me to use it the games better not cost the same as retail physical copies. I feel safer with a physical copy and I also like to have the option to resale a game to make a little money towards a new game. So, I would use it if it saves me money, otherwise probably not.
I do like to see Microsoft constantly expanding the 360's features and even if I personally don't use a feature I know there are many people out there t...
Back in March Valve reported having sold over 2.5 million copies.
I got it wrong in the first post because I listened to what somebody else said. I should have checked. But now I have, and that is what I found.
2.5 million is still a lot and of course it can make an impact, but it won't be much. Especially since a lot of those people, when they don't get their way, will just end up buying the game anyway. Not to mention some of those people were probably not goin...
I apologize guys. I should have checked that number. I knew it had sold several million and in the other thread I heard some people mention 6 million so I assumed that was what it must be. Not a good idea to assume anything. Sorry.
Anyway, I don't think it changes the point much. Like a lot of boycotts many of the people involved in the boycott will end up buying the game anyway, once they see how much fun it is going to be.
When the first game sold over 6 million copies, 10,000 people isn't much.
Eh, who cares? I'm buying it. Let those people deprive themselves of a good game.
It's in my top 3 as well. Mass Effect 2 will be an epic experience and yes, the graphics look much better. In fact, I would say they are some of the best graphics on consoles. I also think it is so cool how we can transfer over our saves from the first game and it effects the new game. Awesome.
Altair was such a cool character, but honestly Ezio (pronounced etsio) looks even cooler still. For one thing, Ezio seems to have a deeper personality than Altair did and he dresses better :)
Oh and he also speaks with an Italian accent, unlike Altair who simply spoke basic English like Desmond instead of Arabic.
I can't wait for the new game.
Really? I loved the fighting mechanics in Asassin's Creed. They were innovative and actually allowed you to perform precise fighting movements and counters that looked realistic, unlike the silly random hack and slash of most games.
Yeah, I can't wait to see more about The Last Guardian. That game along with Uncharted 2 are probably the most exciting games I am looking forward to get on PS3. Team Ico games are unique and some of the best ever created.
Morganfail is the last person I would listen to if I wanted the truth.
