Jeremy is right...there are noticeable differences that anybody that is being honest can see very easily. I dont know why people deny the obvious...when the truth is right there staring them in the face.
wow...you PS3 fans are really trying hard to get rid of that stigma of having mostly the inferior versions of multiplatform games aren't you? Why deny reality though? That is stupid. If a game looks better on a certain console, it does. Denying it just makes you look like a desperate fanboy trying to protect your beloved console at all costs.

I agree that it is total sales that really matters. I was just posting the facts because darkrider66 kept making false statements about the 360 supposedly doing no better in its first two years than the PS3, which is simply not true. The 360 has higher cumulative software sales, but it also had a higher number of sales and attach rate at the two year mark than the PS3.
that is true, the ps2 was not reliable at all. millions of them failed and Sony had to be sued to take care of the problem. lots of people I know had more than one ps2 simply due to how unreliable they were.
my sony upconverting dvd player also stopped working on me after only 5 months, from no fault of my own.
fanboy article to the max, for sure.
I agree, it's getting laughably ridiculous. The whole world is part of a giant secret conspiracy against the PS3. It's only the PS3 faithful that are kept ignorant of the workings of this conspiracy. Give me a break.
Gears 2 is not coming to the PC. Epic have said this time and time again and yet you want to go on believing...
What a complete load of crap. You're really going to sit there and try to claim that COD4 on the PS3 has better textures? Anybody that has seen them both know that the textures ARE NEARLY THE SAME in both versions. In fact, if anything the 360 version has the better textures. Eurogamer said "Sure, there are a few minor variations here and there, if you can stop playing long enough to sit down, put both versions side-by-side and compare them carefully. There's the occasional better-lo...
No, you guys missed the point. The point is that it is all anecdotal. The guy could be flat out lying for all we know. Furthermore, I don't know how he goes from his friend's and his limited experiences to concluding that it is some kind of wide spread problem. Like I said elsewhere, I have seen the exact opposite in some of my local game stores, where the clerks seem to be biased in favor of the PS3 and are persuading people to buy it over the 360.
Anecdotal bullsh1t. This all one or two guys' experience and we are supposed extrapolate that out to somehow being representative of a general truth. That's ridiculous. And it's not true. There is no universal bias for any console. Where I live it seems a lot of people have a strong bias for the PS3. I was at local gamestop and I overheard one of the customers asking the clerks about the Xbox 360 and the clerks said something like "oh well to be honest I wouldn't get the Xbox 360, ...
It's totally bogus. Out of 17 million PS3 owners, 14 million of them are all going to have high speed internet and a single active PSN account that they game online with? Yeah right!
Yeah, I have 3 active PSN accounts (two North American, one Japanese) and so this number means nothing to me. What matters is how many people are actively playing games on each service and as anybody who has ever compared the numbers of people playing a multi-platform game like COD4 can attest, there are a lot more people playing online on the 360 than on the PS3.
I'm really skeptical anyway that there are 14 million active PSN accounts when there are only 17 million PS3s out t...
Well, considering that I have three different "active" PSN accounts I take this number with a grain of salt. Anybody with a PS3 and a decent internet connection can create multiple PSN accounts. The real figures that matter are the numbers of people playing games and this is where you see the 360 with a major edge. Look at how many people are playing COD4 or any other multi-platform game on both services and you will see the real numbers of "active users".
In its first two years the PS3 only has 17 games that have sold over a million copies. On the other hand in its first two years the 360 had 38 games that sold more than a million copies. (Subtract the 9 Xbox 360 games released in 2008 from the list of 47 and you are left with 38). This means that the 360 has had more than twice the number of million+ sellers in its first two years as the PS3 has had in its first two years. There's no way around it, the 360 sells an impressive quantity of ...
He did not state that himself, you liar. He said he got his information "from NPD and sites like Chart-Track". He only said he compared his numbers against vgchartz numbers. Who would care anyways? vgchartz has been shown time and again to be in the right ballpark. we don't have perfect numbers and so the best ANYONE can do is collect all the data available out there and make an imperfect but no doubt largely accurate list. Which is what he did. Could he be missing a few titl...
darkride66, you're full of it.
The Xbox 360 actually has 38 games on that list that were million+ sellers from its first two years.
So the 360 has had more than twice the number of million+ sellers in its first two years as the PS3 has had in its first two years. 38 vs 17. Count it up for yourself if you don't believe me. 38 of those games on the 360 list are from the 360's first two years.

darkrider66, you keep posting the same BS over and over. You're completely wrong about the attach rate of the 360 after its first two years. In case anybody missed it I will say it again.
-Even comparing like for like (i.e. the first 23 months) the 360 still has a higher attach rate.-
This from 1UP:
"As you can see above, the average Xbox 360 owner has 6.6 games for his or her console, while the average Wii gamer has 5.5, and the PlayStation 3 owner has 5.3. On...

"As you can see above, the average Xbox 360 owner has 6.6 games for his or her console, while the average Wii gamer has 5.5, and the PlayStation 3 owner has 5.3. One important thing to keep in mind is that this chart shows attach rates for the first 23 months of each system's release, meaning the 360 numbers are only though September 2007, while t...

proArchy does need glasses if he think this game looks the same on both systems. The differences are noticeable right away to anybody with normal vision. People try so hard to convince others that all these games are the same but then they go around cutting down the 360 for all of its faults...its like they are trying to say the Ps3 is just as good as the 360 in every way but it is a lot better in all these other ways..\ What a joke!
