BS. Burnout Paradise looks virtually identical on both consoles.
DMC4 looks the same, except the 360 version has the superior 2xMSAA instead of the temporal anti-aliasing of the ps3 version which makes things look blurry in motion.
Fallout 3 was significantly better on the 360 and many reviewers even commented on that fact. I couldn't believe how much worse it looked on the ps3--jaggies everywhere, frame slowdown, poor LOD (level of detail) on background objects suc...
Yeah and the ps3 version looks blurrier and does have more screen tearing. The aliasing is the same in both versions and that has been confirmed. The only reason the aliasing is slightly less noticeable in the ps3 version is because it is less sharp and more blurry. I have played both versions back to back and that is what I saw. I completely disagree that the ps3 version was the superior version. Overall this is a game where I would have to say that it is fairly close and I can see peop...
RIIIGHT! Gears 2 looks better than any game I have played on my Ps3 and that includes Uncharted and MGS4. You guys are living in denial. I can prove that I own both consoles, I wonder if you guys can. The reason I ask is because most people spouting that nonsense are ps3-only guys who haven't had close hands-on time with most 360 games. When you own both you tend to look at things more impartially and objectively. And by that criteria Gears 2 looks better than anything on the ps3.
He's full of sh1t and he knows it. The majority of multi-platform games look and/or perform better on the 360. This has been shown time and time again. A few multiplats manage to look nearly identical on both platforms (Burnout Paradise, COD4, etc.), but most look better on the 360. Everybody that is being honest with themselves knows this.
Watching recent videos only helps to drive home how amazing this game looks. Capcom are doing things that almost nobody has done to the same level. I think RE5 and Id's Rage are two of the best looking console games that I have ever seen, even beating out the likes of Gears 2 and Killzone 2, and they are multiplatform games. Amazing.
It absolutely wouldn't surprise me if the 360 version performed a little bit better. We've seen it a hundred times before. Even on very recent cross-platform games. The ps3 isn't what it was hyped up to be. It is very close to the 360 in performance, but in several important areas it is somewhat behind the 360.
I know, it's sad that the 360 will always be held back a little bit by the ps3.
And for anybody objective it is easy to see that both versions looked almost exactly the same, except the 360 version had better 2xAA instead of the blurry temporal anti-aliasing of the PS3 version. The 360 version is clearly a little bit better to anybody that isn't a fanboy or somebody that wants to stick their head under the blankets and ignore reality just so that people's feelings aren't hurt.
Frankly I am getting sick of all the excuses. It's like ps3 fanboys can't be fair about anything. Everything is a conspiracy, oh unless it is something that makes the ps3 look good, then in that case it is just 'the truth'. It's lame. I have a ps3 and I like it. I wouldn't give these guys such a hard time if they would just grow up and start being more honest and fair about things.
Anyway...back on topic, Gears 2 looks noticeably better than Gears 1 and lots of sites comme...
Quit spreading BS. MGS4 does not run at 60 fps, nor does it have great textures. http://www.monstersandcriti... Its textures are decent, but that is all. The textures in GEOW2 are far more detailed. Also, did you know that MGS4 does not even run at HD resolutions natively? It actually is natively lower in resolution that Gears of War 2. MGS4 is natively 1024x768 (= 786432 pixels, i.e. su...
Gears 2 looks noticeably better than Gears 1 and lots of sites commented on that fact. Many sites also specifically mentioned that it is the best looking game on consoles at the moment.

"we're going to go out on a limb and call Gears of War 2 the most visually impressive game yet made. It actually looks quite a bit better than its predecessor, whi...
I don't know how people got this idea that MGS4 runs at 1080P. It actually is natively lower in resolution that Gears of War 2. MGS4 is natively 1024x768 (= 786432 pixels, i.e. sub-HD) and Gears 2 is 1280x720 (= 921600 pixels, i.e 720P HD). http://forum.beyond3d.com/s...
When I look at MGS4 I can tell that it is running at less than 720p because it looks slightly soft or fuzzy. Seriously, try swit...
I agree with you guys. Gears 2 wins against MGS4 in the graphics department, plain and simple. It's actually no contest. Only ps3 fanboys that don't have both consoles think that MGS4's is unbeatable in the graphics department.
I can't believe the amount of hype MGS4's graphics get. Yes, I own it--psn id is Saber_Edge, go ahead and check--and even Assassin's Creed looks better than it. Seriously, compare them side by side or flipping between inputs on your tv and it is obv...
8 is a very good score and I was planning on getting this game no matter what reviews it got. I am a huge Prince of Persia and Assassin's Creed fan and I will definitely be getting this for my 360.
Yeah, I loved the demo. The ocean water around the boat and as you swim to the rocks looked better than almost any other water I have seen. Yes, even better than Uncharted's water. Uncharted looks better in other ways. Anyway, Uncharted is one of my favorite games and I really enjoyed the Tomb Raider demo and want to get the game when I get the chance.
The Netflix movies really surprised me with how good they look. I was expecting much worse. Complaining that you have to use a PC to manage your queue is nitpicking. The service is great and it has really enhanced the usefulness of my X360 even further.
You know...some people will complain about anything. Netflix on my X360 is awesome and of course it is only going to get better with time.
The HD movies streamed through Netflix look very good. Obviously not as good as a Bluray, but still pretty nice. I can't believe people want to complain about the difference between Blurays and HD streamed movies but think that the differences between multiplatform games on ps3 and 360 are just nitpicking. To put it another way...the difference between Fallout 3 on ps3 and 360 are greater than between a Bluray and a streamed HD movie. I couldnt get over how much worse it looked on the ps3...
No doubt, Left 4 Dead is a ton of fun. One of the best multi-player experiences ever?...I think so.
Mark my words, RE5 will either look the same on both systems or it will look better on the 360.
