Oh, and you're completely wrong about the screen tearing issue. The Digital Foundry frame analyzer found that the PS3 had over twice as much screen tearing as the 360 version.
"A quick analysis of the demo reveals that in common with most UE3 titles, Xbox 360 still holds the technical edge, but PS3 manages to hold its own. Both PS3 and 360 versions have their fair share of 'jaggies', but the overall experience is a little smoother on the Microsoft console, thanks to the inc...
Sure, 'cause you know it could never be that the PS3 versions of multi-platform games really do tend to look worse than their 360 counterparts. Sheesh, it's all a grand conspiracy against the PS3 in your mind, isn't it? I own both consoles and I agree with all the comparisons that have been done showing better looking Xbox 360 multi-platform games. I have seen the same thing on my own consoles. The reason the results of those face-offs show the 360 ahead on so many of the multi-platform g...
Except the PS3 doesn't have "sharper texture work". People keep trying to claim this and it has been shot down repeatedly. Nowhere in any of the screenshots or videos do we see any examples of these supposedly sharper textures on the PS3. I have compared the two versions at length and there is not a damn bit of difference in the resolution of the textures between the two versions.
Look at these comparison screenshots:
The 360 has outsold the PS3 two-to-one in the UK after the price drop.

Now, it's true that Sony has sold about one million more PS3s than the Xbox 360 so far this year. However, 1 million is not really that big of a lead considering that the Xbox 360 has now had a price cut and could easily make up the difference by the end of the year. ...
Yet somehow that doesn't seem to apply to PS3 fanboy logic regarding the 'free' PSN online service.
I bet you won't be saying that if the 360 outsells the PS3 worldwide this season.
Yep, the 360 has a larger library of games (with 202 games rated 75 or better on Metacritic compared to only 119 for the PS3) and the majority of multi-platform games look and perform better on the 360 as well. The 360 also has more AAA exclusives than the PS3. The PS3 only has two games rated above 90 that are not available on the 360 (MGS4 and LBP). On the other hand, the 360 has 9 games rated above 90 on Metacritic that cannot be played on the PS3. 2 vs 9...You tell me which is more. ...
Look at all the pathetic PS3 fanboys gloating and latching on to this one super low score as if it's the gospel truth, ignoring all the 8s and 9s this game has received.
Wired have been rating a lot of 360 games low and they come off as having an anti-Microsoft bias. They aren't even a dedicated gaming site and considering that their review is so much lower than the general consensus I think that says something.
I have the Nuts and Bolts demo and have been enjoyin...
It's people like you that make me wish I didn't have a PS3. Why do so many PS3 fans have to be complete f-n morons? The 360's got some ridiculous fanboys, but sheesh PS3 fanboys are everywhere (outnumbering the 360 fans on this site something like 6 to 1) and so many of them are just plain jerks.
Well, based on the demo I think 1UP got their review right. I trust 1UP more than IGN anyway. That is to say, I tend to agree with 1UP more than IGN.
Hmm....looks good, but not as good as some people make it out to be. Lighting and environmental destruction looks great. A lot of nice post processing effects going on. Many of the textures, however, seem to be pretty low resolution. You can see how flat many of them look whenever players get close to objects/walls, such as when climbing the red ladders. Some of the textures look nice, but many look pretty flat, similar to what we saw in MGS4. I also noticed some fairly significant text...
I use PSN and Xbox LIVE and there is no doubt that LIVE provides a better online experience. I would gladly pay Sony a small fee if they could manage to make PSN as good as LIVE. 'Free' is nice, but I care more about the experience I have with an online service than whether or not it's free or costs a very small fee.
The demo is fantastic. Any of you who haven't tried it out yet need to give a try. It's so fun. One of the very best co-op experiences I have ever had.
I've played it on both the PC and the 360 and their is almost no difference. The 360 version holds up surprisingly well to the PC version.
This is awesome news. I hope it is something awesome. I love Fable 2.
Nate Ahearn has lost all credibility with me. Claiming the PS3 version looks better? How? I have played both versions and he is full of it.
The PS3 version doesn't look better, it's actually the other way around. The two versions are virtually identical except the 360 version has better anti-aliasing (2xAA on 360 vs none on the PS3) and less screen tearing. This has all been well documented. How he gets off saying the PS3 version looks better is beyond me.
Oh, and you don't need computer software to see the differences. I tried both versions of the demo and the differences in aliasing were 'very apparent' to me and the more pronounced screen tearing in the PS3 version was 'noticeable'. I also believe the 360 version is showing more advanced HDR lighting (the PS3 version looked flatt...
I agree with you. Some people are in denial about this.
