This game is getting nearly universally positive reviews and you are going to claim everybody is wrong but you?
I have actually played the game and I fully agree with the reviews it has been getting.
Well you admitted that you don't own a 360, so of course you are going to try to play down the fact that it is a console exclusive for the 360. Give the 360 its due credit man. Does it mean that you can only play it if you have a 360? No. But it does mean that if you want to play the game on an affordable console, the 360 is where it's at.
The problem with your complaints is that Left 4 Dead doesn't have bad graphics, it just doesn't have great graphics. Resistance 2 doesn't have great graphics and it is still a great game, no? It's mostly about the gameplay man, get over yourself. Just because reviewers aren't totally judging the game by its graphics or knocking it down based on its graphics does not mean our gaming media is becoming "ineffective".
Whoa there! Graphics are not everything but they are important. Great graphics aren't a requirement for a fun game, but they certainly make a fun game better. Left 4 Dead has perfectly decent graphics anyway. They hold up the game very well.
Well, you know what?...me and 200 of my friends got this game for the 360 and its awesome on LIVE.
See how easy telling stories is? Nobody cares when you clearly have an agenda.

That is correct, MGS4 runs at 1024x768 with relatively crappy temporal 2x anti-aliasing. http://forum.beyond3d.com/s... It DOES NOT RUN AT 720P! It's funny that people overlook that fact, but rip into other games when they are deficient in some technical performance area.
I don't know why people are attacking Left 4 Dead (well, actually I do know), it is a fantastic game and the graphics are more...

Nope, you are wrong. I have played the PC and 360 versions of the demo and there are very few differences. The 360 version stands up very well to the PC version. You are just talking nonsense. 100 times better? What a fanboy comment.

It's funny how you post links to those two screenshot apparently to show that Resistance 2 looks better. But I have seen both games and they look about equal overall. Even between the two shots you linked to I think they look about on par. Resistance 2 looks better in certain ways and Left 4 Dead looks better in other ways.
Oh and those of you that like to make excuses for R2 by mentioning how many enemies are on screen at once, why don't you give L4D the same consideration?...
People talking about conspiracies against the PS3 deserve to be laughed at. It's just so absurd. And there is nothing wrong with the "review system". There is no overarching hypocrisy or bias in game journalism. Reviews are individual expressions of a persons experience with a game. Nothing else. There is never going to be consistency amongst all reviewers or all review sites and magazines.
You just revealed yourself as a complete PS3 fanboy when you claimed that "nothing new was introduced in GOW2". You are just as bad as that reviewer. Gears 2 is one of the biggest jumps I have seen between sequels in a franchise. Even the most biased observer would have to admit that there have been a lot of improvements and additions to Gears 2 in nearly every area. You try to counter his bullshit with more bullsh't of your own? No wonder this back and forth never ends. Gears of War 2 is an amazing game that does things I have never seen in a shooter before. Resistance 2 is a good game as well.
I think Sony fanboys really struggle with this one. On the one hand they want to have an excuse for why many PS3 games are not selling quite as well as many expected them to. On the other hand they have trouble admitting that Sony might have a weakness in some area. So people are kind of neurotic and all over the place on this question. They alternately invoke it as an excuse or not, depending on the circumstances and whether they think it makes the PS3 look better or worse.

The Netflix streaming feature is really cool because it allows people like me to use the service and watch movies on my tv from my couch. I have no interest in trying to hook my PC to my television and I heard the integration with the 360 works really well. I am also really looking forward to the 8 person party chat system and the ability to copy games to the hard drive. I can't wait. I think I want to go play my 360 and say goodbye to the good ole dashboard which has served us so well al...
hmm...those are some interesting thoughts...I guess we will just have to wait and see. although, my own personal feeling is that the video store will continue to stand alongside the new netflix integration. After all, not everybody is going to want to get a netflix account and the store is always there if you want to watch something here or there. I like having the options and its really nice what MS is doing with this update.
I don't agree. Everything I have seen about the NXE looks really good. I can't wait for tomorrow. I have been playing video games for a long long time and I don't think any of my previous consoles ever received such a dramatic revamp as the 360 is with the NXE. Interface-wise it is like a whole new console.

I'm not going to trust you because I have compared lots of games on my PS3 and 360 and I know for a fact that there are OFTEN very big differences between the two versions.

It's a console exclusive. I don't have a PC that can run most games and so I don't care if it is available for the PC. I have a 360 and a PS3 and for people like me it is indeed exclusive to the 360. I can't play it on my PS3, that's for sure.
