Why would MS do that?...it makes no sense. It would cause a lot more harm to their reputation than good. Besides, this blog story is bunk. Nobody I have talked to online or on my friends list has had the problem. If it exists at all, it is definitely very minor.
most of us have downloaded the update and are using it and have had no problems with it. personally I love the new features and UI.
the haters just want to find something to hate about.
what do you have to hide oner?...if you have a 360 there should be no problem giving us your gamertag. lots of people really do lie about that stuff and so people just want to make sure you are legit. there should be no problem with that right? btw, what was the point of that stupid video? that doesn't prove anything.
The 360 does not have a 33% failure rate, that is pure fiction. The only somewhat reliable numbers we have to go on showed that early 360s had about a 15% failure rate. By all accounts that percentage has gone down a lot with newer cooler running 360s. It's probably less than 5% now.
Whatever... I feel bad for people who have got it, but it's not the end of the world. If it does happen, you send it to MS and they fix it for free. I've never had it happen to me and I've owned...
They are not lazy. The PS3 is just not very easy to get good performance out of. Devs have to spend a lot more time and effort to get equal performance out of the ps3 and a lot of developers don't have that luxury.
Hey, thanks for that. I hadn't even tried to jump on and see if it was available yet. Now I see that it should be available. Can't wait.
I agree with cherrypie, Sony is famous for its anti-consumer behavior. Every company is going to try to be successful, but that is not what this is about, it is about how a company goes about doing that. Creating a million different proprietary formats that split the market and cause confusion does not benefit the consumer (e.g. mini disc, memory stick, atrac, UMD, etc.) Whatever...people can't see it, because they are blinded by bias and fanboy devotion. No company is perfect, but Sony i...
Everything you are talking about shows a clear lack of understanding of economics or basic business principles.
Besides, the burden of proof lies on the person making the claim.
The fact Microsoft has been completely open in several instances where they did pay for exclusive content, why should we believe that Microsoft are secretly buying rights to other exclusive content? Especially when the developer themselves tell us that is not the case.
I wonder,...
My Xbox 360 has never broken down on me. On the other hand, there is nothing you can do to make multiplatform games look better on the PS3 or to increase its game library.
Wait beyond.
POS3.
Keep going. We can play this game all day long.
@Rick Assley
And how many RPGs on the PS3 have delivered that aren't on the 360? Valkyria Chronicles and uhm...uhm...
I can't wait for Star Ocean. I hope I'll have the money to get it when it comes out. I still can't believe what a great RPG console the 360 has turned out to be. I'm actually having a hard time keeping up. LOL
I can't wait for it either. My friend is in the beta and yes it does look awesome.
Killzone 2...the new game of teh forever....
Na, I'm kidding, Killzone 2 looks like it is going to be awesome, I just think some people here hype it too much. Whether it lives up to the hype or not is irrelevant. Hyping something you haven't even played through fully makes no sense. The beta might be great, but there is still that single player campaign to account for. It will probably be awesome, but I would rather wait until we have some decent hands on time with the single...
I can always watch any of those movies on DVD anyway, so...so what?
It would only show how pathetically petty Sony is, if they really kept those movies off the service permanently. It would be annoying but not a big deal at all.
Wait Beyond
Of course I use Sony products, that is why I own a PS3 and a Sony TV.
Nevertheless, Sony is ruining a perfectly good thing, for nothing but petty reasons. It isn't going to help them. It is only going to annoy Xbox 360 gamers a little bit and leave a bad taste in everybody's mouth.
Then again, this probably isn't what people are making it out to be. If it is, Sony is making a bad mistake.
But it's ok for Sony to outright buy studio after studio?
Buying exclusive rights to a bit of content is bad, but if you outright buy the studio that produces that content it's not bad, is that what you are claiming? That is ridiculous. If Microsoft is guilty of some wrong in this regard, Sony is even more guilty.
How is buying the rights to content before it is ever made "playing dirty"? If MS is guilty of playing dirty Sony are far more guilty, as they have outright bought more development studios than any other console maker. Buying a development studio completely controls that studio's output, thus completely denying that content to anyone else. What has MS done that is even close?
On the other hand, Netflix already had agreements worked out with all the content provider...
Sony is one of the most anti-consumer companies out there. I am so sick of their stupid proprietary formats, rootkit BS, and their bullying everybody around. Denying 360 owners the opportunity to watch their movies through netflix is just petty. If this doesn't get resolved, I am done with Sony. I will never buy another one of their products again. This move is simply ridiculous.
I completely agree. I am just getting annoyed with people believing in a ridiculous conspiracy against the PS3. I have both consoles and I like both consoles, but I do have a bit of a preference for the 360. And from my perspective I often feel that people are being biased against the 360. But I know that there are all kinds of perspectives out there and there isn't any sort of wide spread conspiracy against any console, just different people with different tastes.
The graphi...
Is that the newest conspiracy theory? I hope you are joking...
