Mirror's edge and Dead Space both look better on the 360. Read the Eurogamer comparisons....or better yet, go compare the games yourself. Mirror's Edge looks better on 360 and Dead Space has a better frame rate on 360.
Interesting....nevertheless, the majority of developers still fall on the side of saying the PS3 is difficult to program for. That has been the consensus for a long time and a couple of developers stating otherwise does not erase the fact that many developers do have a tougher time developing on the PS3.
Besides, I don't know why people are so eager to get rid of that excuse for why most multiplats look better on the 360. If the PS3 is not difficult to develop for, why do most ...
I don't agree. Killzone 2 looks good, but you are totally exaggerating how good it looks. Have you even played through Gears 2? That game looks better than anything I have played on my PS3 and that includes GT5p, Uncharted and MGS4. Gears 2 is the best looking game right now on consoles.
Gears 2, Fable 2, Left 4 Dead are better than anything available on the PS3 in my opinion. As an owner of both consoles and with only so much time and money to spend on games I simply find the 360 lineup this holiday much more attractive. It's not that Resistance 2, MotorStorm 2, and LittleBigPlanet suck, not at all. It's just that I don't find them to be as good as what is on offer on the 360. And judging by the way the games are selling, a whole lot of people seem to agree with me.
I have Uncharted and MGS4 and Gears 2 looks better than both of them, so I don't understand what you are talking about. I will judge KZ2 when I can play it in its entirety on my HDTV. As of right now, though, Gears 2 is the best looking game I have played on any console.
Killzone 2 looks awesome and I am definitely getting it. My best friend is in the beta and I know first hand how good it looks. However, my honest opinion is that many people are overhyping it. The graphics look very good in many ways, but there are definitely areas where it is deficient. I personally think Gears 2 stands up quite well to it. They both look awesome, they just have very different approaches.
What you have to consider, too, is that Killzone 2 has had a much lo...
The thing is, I own both consoles and I actually compare many of these games myself and I can tell you that even videos and screenshots cannot show you the extent of the difference you will see on a HDTV. I used to be a big PS3 fanboy, but after seeing game after game look and/or perform better on the 360 I began to realize that Sony had misled us just like they had in the past. The 360 is still getting the better versions of multi-platform games and anybody that actually compares them for ...
Gears 2 looks better than all those games (minus Killzone 2), IMO.
People like to hype those games but I own them and I don't think they are doing anything beyond what the 360 has done.
I know, that is exactly what I was thinking. I recently compared both versions of the Dead Space demo and there was no such difference. The 360 version did not look as bright as it does in Gamespot's screenshots. You can set the brightness level anyway so it doesn't really matter, but I just thought it was strange.
Digital Foundry and Eurogamer did confirm that the 360 version has a more stable framerate than the PS3 version. Then there is the banding in some of the shadows o...
The only thing is, I just played both versions of the demo and the 360 version doesn't look as bright as it does in those screenshots. I don't know what they did to get the 360 version to look brighter like that. It might be because they are outputting through HDMI and I am outputting through component. In any case, you can adjust the brightness level within the game itself so any difference there is pretty null. On the other hand, I did confirm the banding in the shadows and I also notic...
I agree. It is much more significant than many of these people realize. Developers will go where there is more money to be made and gamers will go where there are more games.
The Ps3 is much more difficult to program for and there is no denying that fact. It is well established. John Carmack said that they are working twice as hard just to get equal performance out of the Ps3 as the 360. That isn't a good sign. Some developers have the money and inclination to put out that m...
Well we have already seen several other games get canceled on the PS3 due to development difficulties. Ps3 fans can try to downplay this all they want, but nobody wants to have a smaller selection of games available for their console. Destroy All Humans has a pretty decent following and those people are no longer going to be able to play Path of the Furon on the PS3. All I can say is Sony made some bad choices with the design of the PS3 and everybody knows it.
I think Sony made a mistake by making the PS3 components so expensive. Sure, it helped them win the war against HD DVD but it seems to be hurting them in their competition with Nintendo and Microsoft. I doubt that they can lower prices again this soon without eating even larger losses. I don't think they are willing to sell the PS3 at that much of a loss.
Get real. The ps3 won't be at a $199 price point for years and by that time the 360 will likely be at $129.
BTW, can you provide some kind of evidence to back up your claim that the PS3 outsold the 360 in 2007? Because if I remember correctly the 360 outsold the PS3 in 2007.
I like how you act like the 360's price cut was out of desperation, but go on believing that the PS3 will get another price cut in a few months. That is crazy talk. The 360's price cut is normal and is happening just when you would expect it. It has been three years and production costs have gone down, so lowering the price of the console is a good move. If the Ps3 gets another price cut in the next few months that will mean that the PS3 has received two major price cuts in just a little ...
Given the fact that they are currently selling the ps3 at a loss, I wouldn't be so sure that they will cut the price any time soon. If they do it, it will only be out of desperation and they will still likely be losing money on each system sold. Some people want the price cut so bad that they can't see things clearly. All I am going to say is don't expect a price drop in the next couple of months, you are likely to be disappointed.
well yeah, some of these achievements are freakin hard. BUt that's a good thing since it gives you something to work towards.
Get that spam off here, we are discussing the sales of the 360 not shopping for clothes.
So...yeah, the 360 is selling very well and it deserves to because it is an awesome system. It has the best games this season and you can grab one for only $199...seriously that is a good deal.
You do know that even the 360's video market place is better than PSN's, don't you? I have both and I can tell you that the 360's video market place has more content and lets you preview every movie with a convenient and near instant stream of the movie's trailer or a segment from the movie. It's all quite cool and really does surpass the Ps3's video service by quite a lot. And that's not even adding on the netflix feature.
WTF?! Nothing takes balls on the internet... Not even you talking like you are tough. Calling people "tools" sure doesn't take balls.
TBH, we don't even know if she is really a girl and even if she is if she wants to talk crap about the 360 every chance she gets and be a hardcore PS3 fangirl why should people treat her any different than any other fanboy?
