I absolutely agree. It was a very unique and engaging experience.
I just wish some of my fellow gamers had better taste, maybe then we might get more original and unique games, instead of the 6th iteration of some boring, rehashed shooter.
I can't wait for Assassin's Creed 2.
You have poor taste if you hated the first one. Sorry, but if you are entitled to your opinion, I am entitled to think your opinion sucks.
Quite a few game mags and sites gave Assassin's Creed scores of 9 or above. I happen to agree with those reviewers. Everybody else has crappy taste, in my opinion.
I would really like to know which games you think are good...
I don't care what anyone else thinks, Assassin's Creed was one of the freshest and most enjoyable gaming experiences to come out this generation. Yes, it was repetitive but the game was so good otherwise that it didn't really hurt the game that much. Gears of War (or practically any shooter) is just as repetitive when you think about it, yet get a free pass. I guess some people just don't like the style of gameplay found in Assassin's Creed. Me? I love it.
The narrative, the...
I love Ubisoft. They have made some of my favorite games.
Assassin's Creed was one of the freshest experiences to come out this generation and I don't care what other people think. Yes, it was repetetive, but the plot, the scale, the atmosphere, and the sheer sense of technological and artistic achievement that the game exuded more than made up for it.
I can't wait for Assassin's Creed 2 and I am Alive. Ubisoft games are almost always nothing but quality.
I'm a pretty big Xbox fan but I have to be honest, I hardly ever use cross-game chat. For one thing it is distracting. When I am playing a game I need to pay attention to what I am doing in the game.
The other thing I hate is that the voice/sound quality is so poor that you often can't even hear what the other person is saying. Lots of "what did you say?!" and "hold on, I can't hear you" pepper your conversations.
I tried to talking to my fri...
Genial! Espero que sea bueno!
Saludos
I think the graphics are pretty impressive and with the makers of Socom behind it I am sure it will be awesome.
Looks absolutely mindblowingly good. Loved the first one.
I really loved Mass Effect and I am really looking forward to this sequel.
I agree. The whinny little people complaining about the controls pissed me off because I totally loved the controls. I find them a lot better than the floaty controls in most shooters. COD 4 (like most shooters) feels jerky and totally unrealistic--and not in a good way.
Guerrilla nailed the controls in Killzone 2 (especially the way they were before the patch).
I'm not saying those other games are bad; in fact I love COD4, but I just think the controls are a lot bette...
I have to admit that Killzone 2 is one of the best shooters I have ever played. And I'm no Playstation 3 fanboy.
It looks pretty nice, but if you notice, all of the panning is done very slowly (as in most engine demos), not quickly the way you pan the camera in a real game.
I also noticed quite a bit of slowdown and the physics reactions seemed kind of slow as well. The very small sections with shooting and characters on screen didn't seem to run very well and the animation wasn't that great.
So far it looks good, but I want to see how it performs in a real game with real ga...
The difference isn't that huge for this game, but as a dual-console owner I appreciate these multiplat comparisons because it helps me decide which version to get (though graphics are only part of the equation).
Keep up the good work, Lens of Truth.
I like my 360 and I think MS has accomplished some great things with this console.
Just make the next one reliable (like the first one) and everything will be great.
Ah, I don't think it is all that bad. Overall I am pretty happy with what Microsoft and Sony have brought to the table this gen.
Mass Effect is an amazing game and I can't wait for the sequel.
Mass Effect is one of my favorite games of all time and no the technical flaws are not game-breaking but they are annoying and do detract from the experience a little bit. I really hope they get rid of the screen-tearing, texture pop-in and slowdown.
When will developers learn that it is far better to tone down the graphics in a game until they can run solidly and smoothly than to have an engine that is plagued with technical issues. No matter what kind of textures and lighting...
The only major thing I think MS could have done better is creating a more reliable console. That said, I am pretty happy with the way they handled the problem. A lot of companies wouldn't have dealt with the problem the way MS did.
I like both consoles--PS3 and 360--and I think Microsoft has done far more right this generation than wrong. If they can manage to make their next console reliable right from the start and continue with the improvements to Xbox Live they will be d...
Hey, I lean more towards the 360, but I think the reason you got called out is because what you said didn't make any sense and was just flat out wrong.
Sony is doing plenty right. I enjoy my PS3 as much as my 360, and I started out being a pretty big fan of the 360 (just check my post history). In fact, the longer I have owned my PS3 the more and more I have appreciated it in terms of games, reliability and features.
Sony is definitely listening to gamers. It's actually Microsoft I am a little worried about, considering that there is not much on the 360 in the next year that interests me. Only Mass Effect 2, and even that is...
