I think the PS3 is going to do just fine, but its talk like this...about the PS3 being a freight train that is going to crush the 360 that gets you into trouble and makes people oppose you.
Well, Oner, every post by you that I have seen has been pro-PS3 and anti-Xbox 360. Does that make you a hater as well?
Make your points, that's fine. But please don't call out The KingSlayer when he has a history of being a lot more balanced than you have been. Sure, he might lean more towards the 360, but you are a card-carrying PS3 fanboy through and through.
Great post!
I have both consoles and you are exactly right, they are both great consoles. You miss out on too many good games if you don't have both consoles.
If you don't have the money to buy both consoles I can understand, but you should simply pick the console that works the best for you and enjoy it. Don't become a fanboy crusader like so many people on this site.
I agree. Haters be damned--including the hypocritical Xbox-360 haters that hate on the 360 every chance they get and later act like they are opposed to haters when in reality they are only opposed to PS3-haters.
Both consoles are good, but you guys only want to believe that the PS3 is good and that is the main reason you have people disagreeing with you.
That's true, but I don't see hardly anybody saying that the PS3 will be pulled from the market. I think some PS3 fanboys are just too sensitive and overreact to any negative news about the PS3. Just take a deep breath, all consoles are going to be just fine.
True gamers wouldn't want any console to get cancelled. I don't have a Wii, but I have a 360 and a PS3 and I wouldn't want any of them to fail. It wouldn't be good for gamers or the industry in general.
That's true. But it's also true of the 360.
Where are the true gamers? It seems all that can be seen are fanboys on all sides.
Please people, they are both good consoles. I am tired of all the negativity I see on this site and others. Being negative only breeds more negativity on the other side. Evangelizing for you favorite console in a negative way (by attacking the competitor consoles) only tends to build more resistance and negativity towards your favored console.
It was 25 million at the end of November and is probably a bit higher now, not 22 million.
Failure rate is not 33%. That was only an estimation based on return rates to one repair center in the early days of the console. There is no way that the failure rate is currently 33%. NeoGaf did a poll and the Falcon units were found to have a much, much lower fail rate (I believe it was around 5%). The new Jasper chipsets run even cooler and so it will obviously have an even lower fa...
Nothing game related is a "must-buy", but if you enjoy HD gaming I would say the 360 is an excellent choice (so is the PS3). Great lineup of games and fantastic online service make it a truly stellar console that any fan of games would enjoy.
If you can't afford both consoles, you're just going to have to ask yourself which features and games are most important to you and make your decision from there.
Edit: Where are you coming up with this 33% to 50%. ...
I agree. It has the most advanced and complex lighting engine of any game I have ever seen. That's the simple truth.
Yep...PS360 is the way to go.
I wish fanboys on both sides would just stop. It's really sad that we can't use our fellow gamers as a resource to get an idea about a game, because we always have to wonder if they are being sincere or just being idiot fanboys.
An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind (Ghandi), so grow up.
Yeah, it had been going on for a long time before LittleBigPlanet, so don't act like PS3 fanboys are the victims here. Both sides had been at it for a while, and it's stupid. I wish people would stop posting scores unless they have actually played the game and are sincere.
You have the audacity to post gibberish like what you wrote above and then talk about Xbox fans speaking gibberish. Silly PS3 fanboy, you need to go back to school and learn how to write and think critically.
Oh BTW, you also need to stop with the ridiculous conspiracy theories. There is no unified movement out to destroy your precious PS3. I see just as much anti-Microsoft nonsense as I do anti-Sony nonsense. It goes both ways, and if you were a little more impartial and may...
Killzone 2 will be good, but get real, the Xbox 360 is not going to suddenly shrivel up and die just because of one game. The 360 has its own great lineup of games. Gears 2 and Fable 2 to mention a couple recent ones.
Saying the 360 is going to die because of Killzone 2 is as naive as saying the PS3 was going to die when Gears 2 came out. It's ridiculous. You fanboys need to get over it. They are both good consoles.
I agree with you, Vega. PS3 fanboys are always playing the victim and acting like everybody wants the PS3 to fail, yet I see very very few people actually say anything of the sort. What's worse, is that these very same people turn around and say crap about the Xbox 360 every chance they get. They're hypocrites.
I like both consoles, but I dislike most PS3 fanboys. They are the most illogical and fanatical of all fanboys. The 360 has a larger install base, yet there are com...
No, Sony just spend gobs of money buying studios. I don't see how that is any better. Just two different approaches.
Microsoft tends to enter into cooperation with certain studios to create a game or a franchise and that allows them to be much more nimble on their feet. They can move around to where the talent is and enter into temporary contracts with those talented studios and then move on when it isn't working.
Sony have spent lots of money buying and contr...
Having Sony drop out of the videogame market would be one of the worst things that could happen to the industry and to gamers.
Luckily, I don't think that is even remotely possible at this time. I predict that all three console makers will weather this economic recession and will be around for years to come. Competition is good.
