I think they're allowed to play it, they just can't talk about it. It's all kinds of sketchy.
WOLVERINES!!!
Seriously though, when does it get good?
If you want to play a good FPS, pay $15 and get Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon. It's fun, funny, and a great shooter. It's single player lasts just as long as CoD and it's a fraction of the price.
He says that there were technical issues and frame rate drops with the PS3 and PS4 versions. So if 2/3 consoles it was tested on have technical problems, shouldn't that kind of effect the score? Was this game really a 10/10 but then those issues knocked it down to an 8.8? Or maybe "occasional frame rate issues" weren't really issues at all.
And what's the deal with the XB1? First he says he didn't play the game on it, but then at the end it says they did h...
The frame rate dropped, but dropped to what? 55fps? 20fps? These reviews use words liked "chugged" and "noticeable drop" but I don't see any numbers. These are guys have the capability to monitor the exact numbers, and I'd like to now them. If the dip they talk about means it runs at 40fps instead of 60, then no big deal. If it drops to 15, then it is.
This girl is all over the place.
She puts such a heavy weight on the idea that the games available on the day the console launches are what sells the system, despite the fact that these consoles are going to sell out regardless. Then she contradicts herself by saying that a lot of people aren't even going to buy the console in the first year. If that's true, then what does it matter which games were available on launch day?
She says the Xbox One has games like Titanf...
It was originally coming out on the 19th (I think) but since Drive Club is not longer a launch title, it's nice to see they moved it up a few days.
I love listening to this guy talk. He's awesome. His voice is so mellow. If I ever develop a life-threatening disease, I want Mark Cerny to be the one to break the news to me. Somehow I feel if I heard it first with his calm voice, I'd feel a lot better about it.
All of his choice of shirts tends to be a little... bold? Normally he has the plaid or checkered shirt going on but his shirts always make a statement.
His hair style also isn't winning any awards. It's a trait you see a lot in extremely smart people. They are so concerned with other things that their own appearance tends to bother them very little.
This article is stupid. The Neogaf thread seemed to be more about whether or not Sony is going to go back to it's more arrogant attitude it had at the launch of the PS3, not that they weren't ever arrogant. The guy writing this article just cherry picks quotes from Sony execs over the years that makes it sound like they're cocky. But if you're the president of a company, aren't you going to say your product is better? If you can't say that, then maybe you're no...
Its seems wrong to me to charge $60 for a game that only lasts 4 hours and then justifies itself by saying you can play MP which is locked behind a paywall. Unless you give Microsoft or Sony another $50, the MP is useless.
I was actually a little excited about this CoD, but not anymore.
If they can get Halo running at 1080/60fps that will be great. But at the same time, I'm not going to hold my breath for it to happen. We don't know how graphically demanding Halo will be since there has been very little information released about it.
I've learned enough to know that what is announced a year out versus what is delivered tend to be very different.
Forza and the other games coming out at 1080p/60fps are games in which all the hd assets can be loaded into the memory because they have a static boundary. In games like Destiny, Titanfall, Battlefield, CoD, the size of the hd assets that need to be loaded in and out of memory are too great for the xbox one to keep up with. As the tools get better for working with esram, things may improve but it's also possible it won't.
Ryse is an xbox exclusive and they couldn't hit ...
Back to the question of whether Destiny will be 1080 on the Xbox, my guess is no.
From everything I've read about these consoles, it seems like the RAM situation in the Xbox is going to hold it back. Large, open world games have too many hi-def assets for the Xbox ram to load quickly enough. It's not going to be able to do 1080p at 60fps so it will be scaled back to either 720p at 60fps or 1080p at 30fps. Since in a shooter like this frame rate is king, my guess is the re...
I don't see how any of the complaints issued so far have been "self-entitled." That's just rubbish
But does a game like Rays the Dead really need to be 1080p/60fps? For a game like this, 30fps is fine. And even if a small studio put out a game at 720p should be ok. Games like Battlefield and COD are aiming to have the most beautiful graphics so for them it is important. Rays the Dead is not going for the more graphically intense game here
I was thinking this wasn't going to be that big a deal but the fact that they're streaming it to the PS3 makes me think it might actually be something special. Just have to wait and see.
Any FPS. I don't have the time to invest in them and get really familiar with the layout of the maps. I know I'm just not on the same level as a lot of other players and it makes the whole experience frustrating and no fun.
What!? My toaster can't play Netflix!? That's it! Pre-ordered cancelled. :)
Do you have a source for that? I thought I had heard that too but can't find anything on it. I know there's supposedly a day one patch but I didn't see what it was supposed to fix.
