It may be a marathon, but getting a big early lead doesn't hurt. A lot of people like to be on the console that is the most popular and where their friends are playing. If PS4 can jump out early and be that console, then I think Microsoft is going to be in real trouble.
Of course with Microsoft having problems with Windows Phone, Windows 8, and investors calling for them to dump the gaming division, they have a few other problems they need to fix too.
Was never going to date her anyway, but a pretty girl is still a pretty girl.
Is it just me or do Steam fans talk about Half Life 3 in the same way PlayStation fans talk about The Last Guardian? It's going to be the "one more thing" that's always just around the corner.
As he said in the conclusion (which echoes my view), it sucks that there's nothing new for people who already own a prior version, but it's still a good game. I'm still playing the the original Fifa for Vita and it's awesome. I'm not going to upgrade for the price, but if you're just buying in now, it's totally worth the money.
I think it'd be great if they would just sell DLC that did all the roster updates and uniform changes.
But I already said yes.
The argument that Sony should just go keep doing what they're already doing (but more of it) is ludicrous. They've had a touchscreen handheld for 2 years and the sales have been disappointing.
The great thing about the Vita is that it gives you the option to play any kind of game out there. If you want the same kind of games that are your phone, like Plants v Zombies or Jetpack Joyride, you can play the. Want to play a more tradi...
It is an interesting approach to a controller, and if it does allow games designed for a mouse/keyboard playable on a big screen, then that's great.
What I'm happy about is that they finally showed SOMETHING! After two big announcements that delivered zero specifics the third announcement is about as specific as you can get. What a relief.
I've been obsessed with this game ever since I got it. The funny thing is that I don't see any boobs in the game. I'm playing through as the Fighter in a solo game so I very rarely seem anything breast related. And when they do come in, I'm not sure they effect the game at all. Great game, definitely worth playing.
And for a game with such depth and lengthy game play, that was the shortest review I've ever seen. It's like when a 5th grader is try...
I think it needs to be said that despite the fact the game hasn't been changed or updated since the original release, it's still a good game. I have the original Fifa game on Vita and I really enjoy playing it. I'm not going to pay $40 for a roster update, but if you just got a Vita and don't have this game yet, then I say it's still worth getting.
I have a daughter and she wants to play games with Barbie and Disney characters, or even any of the cartoons she loves. She really likes Fat Princess and LBP, but kid friendly games you find on Nintendo just can't be found on the other consoles.
And on the flip side, Sony and Microsoft should invest in more child-friendly games.
It's not going to be interesting for one reason. No native games.
How many games on Steam are both Linux compatible and can be played with a controller? Of the thousands of games that Steam sells, how many fit the criteria for being played on SteamOS on a TV?
45. 45 games that don't require you to stream a game a from a PC or sit and play with keyboard/mouse.
And they say the Vita has no games. Hell, Wii U has more games.
I guess the idea of Steam Machines just isn't that popular with this crowd. Aside from Valve feeling threatened that Windows 8 is going to hurt their business, what does SteamOS offer that Windows can't? I know it's unpopular, but there are a lot of advantages to using Windows, including be able to play a ton more games.
So Valve is working with hardware manufacturers to get them to build "steam machines" which will be low-margin pieces of hardware. Valve then makes all the money through content sales. Sony and Microsoft can both tell you that you don't make money on the hardware, you make it on the software. Except here Valve wants others to build and sell the hardware while they sell all the software.
When you say it like that, it makes Valve look like a bunch of jerks. Who'd w...
Out of curiosity, what makes you excited about this? All I can figure is that Valve said it's building a machine that runs Linux and connects to your TV. What am I missing here?
Steam actually announces nothing. They said they are working with partners to create Steam Machines for 2014, but just like the Steam OS announcement, there are no specifics. Steam Machines are open and upgradeable, and one size does not fit all. That's great and all, but what is it that you're talking about? As anyone here can tell you, a PC does the same thing. What makes a "Steam Machine" any different?
The only thing that seems concrete is that they...
Answer: It's for a very small, niche audience.
Though it's hard to tell at the moment because all we know about Steam OS are platitudes and promises. It works with undefined "living room devices" and unnamed "developers" are loving it. There are a lot of lofty goals and very few specifics at the moment
From what has been announced so far, Steam OS is a variant of Linux that is designed with gaming in mind. It will only natively ...
So it's a PC that you have connected to your TV? I thought this was supposed to go on some piece of hardware that would then stream games from your PC or Mac to your TV. So is it a PC connected to your TV that streams games from a better PC? How is this any better than just playing games your PC games on a PC?
Maybe the next announcement will clear some of this up.
So it's a Linux distro built for gaming that somehow is connected to your tv and streams games from your Mac or PC? What the heck is this? Are people going to go out and buy steam boxes from some company? It's an operating system but that would require hardware to run on. What's the hardware? Why buy this instead of another console? What does this do that other consoles don't?
I think SteamOS raises more questions than it answers.
How is it there are so many VitaTV articles that have such wrong information? This one says that at launch the VitaTV will be able to play some PS3 games. No it won't. They've never said that and the ability to play PS3 games through Gaikai will stary in 2014 in the US where VitaTV isn't being sold. Sigh.
The VitaTV is a Vita without a screen or controls. If the regular Vita can't do it then the VitaTV can't do it.
I feel like I'm the only person in the world who could care less about Titanfall. I see an online, multiplayer only FPS and it's just not interesting to me.
Though I may be going against the flow because GTA V doesn't appeal to me either and I hated the Telltale Walking Dead game.
