You could pay full retail price for the game and spend 100+ hrs to 100% Odyssey and still not see everything.
There is content locked behind a paywall in the form of microtransactions (the Pegasus for example). How can you not see that this is an issue?
Yep the game itself is actually great but the microtransactions and paywalls are a real issue. Even if you grind forever you still can't unlock content like the Pegasus without spending more $ as far as I can tell.
Greed has become a huge issue in society in general. It's always been there but seems to be next level these days.
Uh oh. WB love Microtransactions, paywalls, and exploitative DLC. See Injustice 2 for an example.
I really hope CDproject maintain control over their game.
No more so than the previous 2 games.
There is a scene where she esentially becomes the Terminator for a while, mowing down scores of goons and even a helicopter without taking a scratch.
What next? Isn't it obvious? An Uncharted vs Tomb Raider: Worlds Collide crossover style game.
Lara vs Drake they start out in competition searching for the same tomb but then realise the only way to beat the bad guys is if they team up and work together.
Cue obligatory flirting, love triangle with Elena, and a surprise cameo from Indiana Jones.
Day 1 buy ;)
Not good but I just hope they don't start cutting content to sell as dlc or lock costumes etc behind a paywall or pre order bonuses.
If so this goes from a day 1 buy to a wait for the collectors edtion in a bargain bin for me.
PSNow still isn't available in Australia. Hasn't it been out for years now elsewhere?
@Carldechance
On PC framerate is more important because you're on a small screen. Resolution becomes more noticeable and important on a 65 inch+ screen though.
Recently replayed GOW3 it holds up extremely well. Graphically it was far ahead of its time. Absolutely among the best looking games on the ps3 and the remaster means it runs that much better.
I will play it as soon as it releases on ps4 but am sure it will also get an upgraded goty edition on next gen consoles too(including the dlc).
Yep Injustice 2 was the last straw for me. No more fighting games day 1 untill they go back to selling complete games. They all seem loaded full of greedy practices these days.
They already have. I wont buy it despite being a fan because of the dodgy dlc practices. I'm guessing they have locked a whole lot of the game away bejind paywalls (charactets, costumes, etc).
I assume it will be full of exploitative dlc and microtransaction so I will be passing on this unless I find out otherwise.
Who said there are no silly questions? Well, I guess I've had my dose of hyperbole for the day.
Digital is a nice option but technology is not good enough to remove physical. Many counties have frankly abysmal internet infrastrucure. Next gen games will be massive (many already are) and dowloading them is not viable for many people. No physical means cutting off a huge portion of the market currently. Maybe in a decade when internet infrastructure is better worldwide.
That's funny I think the exact opposite is what is needed. Release the game with all the content included, no paywalls, no microtransactions. Unlock things through gameplay.
In other words release a full game, not bits and pieces of a game then gouge you fanbase for every unlockable character, weapon, or skin.
I want to play this (great art style) but from what I've seen this game is known for insanely expoitative paywalls and microtransactions.
You can pay up to $60 to unlock a single character and in game currency is given out sparingly to force you to pay real $ for everything.
Bit ironic that they are against loot boxes but have filled the game with every other greedy, anti-consumer practice available.
GOW is awesome but I'm pretty sure RDR2 is going to be next level.
While I am a huge fan of the Witcher 3 it came out right around Bloodborne so no it was not an easy decision that year ;)
My thoughts exactly. That was an extremely fun game. Should be even better with current technology.
