It is the games that determine whether a console is 'exciting' or not, not some hardware gimmick. Pretty sure the ps5 will deliver great games if past playstations are anything to go by.
Definately one of the best. Depends if you consider Bloodborne a new IP or not. I guess it's really just an evolution of the souls games.
HZD2 will blow some minds though I'm sure. Guerilla are wizards in the visuals department.
A new Folklore would be great. Loved the quirky Japanese take on Celtic folklore.
I think a new Lair would be great now that the technology exists to cope with the ambition.
A new Tenchu would also be amazing.
I really like Dragon Age but if they go with an online focus I will pass. Zero interest in that.

I don't think the novel analogy is really comprable as they're very different mediums and adding an easier difficulty is hardly the same a rewriting a novel ;)

It means more sales so the producer/developer wins and it in no way dilutes the experience for more seasoned gamers who relish the challange and sense of acomplishment.
Bloodborne and TW3 are my games of this gen. Being an old school Tenchu fan I still really like Sekiro too.
I think Bloodborne got the difficulty balance right. Bosses are difficult but hugely rewarding.
Certain(many) bosses in Sekiro go too far and are just frustrating. This saps fun and diminishes the sense of achievement.
I can relate. This has been my 2nd most anticipated game(after cyberpunk 2077) since it was announced. I am dying (only once though) to get home and play it.
He said the bosses are not as impressive as previous games so minus .1.

I have been playing this as it was on my radar for a long time. It is cute, and there is fun to be had as a pure stealth game with no real combat.
That said it is not a 5/5. For starters the performance on the pro leaves a lot to be desired. It is also loaded with fetch quests.
I love the art design and world building and it is worth a play but keep your expectations in check.
I would love a sequel to The Order. It is still a great game.
Lair had a great concept and could be amazing with the current technology available. A Lair-like ps5 game could be incredible.

I won't buy the game due to the dodgy mictotransactions and paywalls but from what I have seen RNG has been used to turn the entire Krypt into a giant lootbox. This is now a full priced game plus season pass and that still won't give you everything as it costs $6000+ to unlock all the costumes or in the vicinity of 4000 hrs of grinding.
