I will buy it if they turn it into an offline game with all the DLC included (no micro-transactions thanks).

The real issue with this game is that it is an online only GaaS game. It charges you full price (more than full price, it is $160 for the "Deluxe Edition" in Australia when physical copies of most games are realistically $80-$100).

After paying full price you can then look forward to a constant stream of cosmetic items (which people want)...

Stellar Blade, Dragons Dogma 2, Judas, lots of great looking games.

It does look sick. The customisation also looks great. This really has a next gen Bayonetta/Nier vibe that I am 100% up for.

It does. I also like the voice acting. Nice accents.

Have been waiting forever for this game. Looks amazing what a great trailer. Day 1 buy for me.

Yep it is sad to see Rocksteady, after making the amazing Arkham trilogy, being reduced to making an always online Gaas game.

Nobody wants these games. When will publishers understand this? You can't even play the game without PS Plus. If you have internet issues (I just had 3 weeks with no internet after lightning hit our phone and power line) you can't even play the game.

If you look at my original comment it was that it is a shame they are not doing a remake and are only doing a remaster. That is why I am comparing.

Yes I looked at the work and read the article. Have YOU actually looked at the 'remaster'? The environments are super blocky and low detail, the textures are poor, the detail in the charter models and enemies is low. This looks like it was made in the early 2000's not in 2023/24.

Look at some good (not lazy) remakes, for example the Demon's Souls remake, the Spyro Triolgy remake for comparison. They remain faithful to the original games but do a proper job o...

Woke garbage. Hard pass. I'll stick to TLOU 1.

Such a shame they didn't do a proper remake like with the Spyro trilogy or Shadow of the Colossus. That would have been a day 1 buy. As for this I'll wait and see, it still looks so dated, what was the point? Seems like a lazy cash grab.

It's a real bummer. The Arkham games were so good. It's disappointing seeing Rocksteady reduced to making an always online, micro-transaction filled, season pass, GaaS game.

Yeah I'm thinking this CEO has not heard of of quality over quantity.

I think pacing is more important than game length.

I would say it is good/very good. Not amazing.

I give it an 8/10.

I like it, I'd give it an 8/10. It's fun but Armoured Core 6 (first AC game I've played) is much more engaging and overall just better as far as I'm concerned (also much harder though so no good if you're frustrated easily). Worth a look if you haven't tried it.

Well after reading through it I would say it sounds like a complete load of corporate BS.

Meanwhile a bunch of rich EA execs will get huge bonuses for keep the numbers looking good.

Should say free to play online only gaas game not looter shooter. Thought this looked okay until I discovered what kind of game it actually was.

Played literally hundreds of hours of Blood Bowl 2. Won't be spending a cent on this lazy, greedy, micro-transaction filled mess of a game though. Very disappointing.

Game looked mediocre from the last trailer/reveal. It would be aided by deep character customisation. Being a pirate is about freedom. I want to be able to customise my character, ship, crew, etc in this kind of game and that seemed to be lacking from what I've seen.

A great game from an era before things went politically correct and gaming turned serious/'mature'.

It certainly wasn't concerned about upsetting or offending anyone and was more fun because of it.

The boss battles and set pieces still top most games released today.

I agree. It was just less serious and more fun.
