True. That's because SP is better than MP.
That's fair. Games are expensive and sales are always appreciated.
That said, this is one game I am more than happy to support at full price.
This is honestly my GOTY. A new IP. Great gameplay(love the parries and finishing moves). Polished. No agenda or microtransactions. Lots of free content and updates. I have played 150ish hrs so far (4 playthroughs and a heap of boss rush mode).
Highly recommend to anyone who likes Sci-fi with great combat.
True but that lack of a disk drive is ridiculous and has cost them sales. I bought a ps4 pro at launch. Had a ps5 day 1. I would have got the pro day 1 too but did not due to the lack of a disc drive. It is a downgrade from my current ps5.
Why should I have to source a disc drive which is hard to find, pay extra money just to play games I can play now with no fuss?
They could easily have included a disc model or a bundle with the disc drive but chose not...
I'm playing it to see for myself despite my reservations. The game makes a very bad first impression.
Six hours in I started to kind of enjoy it. It is like Dragon age made by the Fortnite developer with a strong Woke/Modern vibe.
The characters are unbearable. The writing is poor. The costumes are all conservative as if we are living in the 1800's. Despite that the environments are cool looking at times. 14hrs in I am not a fan of this new direction ...
It's not lewd. It's just made in 2011 before the world went into puritan mode. No wonder the birth rate is dropping.
This is a big problem. The fact that they have cherry-picked who gets review copies prior to release to artificially manipulate the metacritic rating is blatantly deceptive and should not be allowed. It is essentially false advertising.
Add to that that IGN (9/10) who now also owns Eurogamer (10/10) and a bunch of other review sites allows them to further manipulate metrics.

Yep TLOU2 is probably the most disappointed I have ever been with a game. The pitch: Lets retcon the hero from the first game into a villain, kill them in sadistic fashion, then make people play half the game as an unlikeable, butch hypocrite with no charisma who I would rather see dead.

I agree, however, people often have a a significant game library tied to a platform. For example I have somewhere around 500 ps4/5 games so if I swap to PC I lose access to those. Would hate to think what it would cost to re-purchase those on Steam.
I would like a good PC but that is one of the main barrier for me making the switch.

Yep this is my type of game. Not enough games like Resident Evil, The Evil Within, Silent Hill. Always happy to have more.
My GOTY is easily Stellar Blade with second place currently being Space Marine 2, Rise of the Ronin, or possibly Silent Hill 2 or Metaphor depending how I feel when I finish them. Tekken 8 is great too but I'm unhappy with their micro-transaction use. Wu Kong and Dragons Dogma 2 were both fine but a let down compared to what I was expecting.
Yeah. I honestly don't think making the main character look like the Matt Damon puppet from Team America helped either.
High price and lack of a disc drive made it a no go for me. I have quite a few physical ps4 and 5 games already. Why would I want a console that can't play them.
Yeah it's like if they remastered Star Wars and took all the iconic music out. Really hurts the experience for those who know the original.

I like the game. I grew up watching Monkey Magic as a little kid. That said it has some issues. The worst being the ridiculous invisible walls. Haven't seen that kind of thing since the PS3 era.
Oh maybe you didn't hear. It will have "machine learning". It will cause a sudden dramatic leap next gen, you know, the way "the cloud" did this gen.
True. I would like to see a list but ranked by user scores which hold more weight than critic scores for me. I find I enjoy a lot of games and movies that critics don't enjoy.
