Resident Evil 5 was an amazing game and pretty similar to RE4 in terms of its horror/action formula. It just couldn't top RE4 which was a standout game. Regression to the mean, y'know.
I agree the less said about RE6 the better though.
Yep, probably my favourite game on the original PS. Tenchu 2 level creator was also really cool. Wrath of Heaven was also great. I was hopeful Sekiro would bring back the Tenchu goodness but it is a different beast.
Naughty dog have amazing talent and I traditionally bought all of their games day 1. That is until TLOU2 (which I bought and enjoyed until 1/2 way through). Woke garbage.
Really? Great, thanks for letting me know. It must have been relatively recent because when I downloaded it to play again on PS5 sometime in the last 12 months it was still really bad.
Good news though, now I can give it another play through. Never did the Jack the Ripper quests previously so want to give them a try.
Definitely, it is a great game with a really detailed setting.
Unfortunately, you can't play it on PS5 though as it has a major flickering glitch with the lighting/shadows which makes it unplayable.

People need to stop mollycoddling everyone, it's a big part of what is wrong with modern society/social media/internet. Tolerance of blatant stupidity/ignorance should not be the status quo.
If you have the choice you may want to go with PS5 on this one for the extra content. Or wait 6-12 months and get it on PC at a reduced price with the inevitable mods and better specs (depending on your set-up). Depends on your preference I guess.

I think "a minority of over entitled crybabies feel they are being mistreated" would be more appropriate.
I doubt the devs have a choice. It sounds like a very MS move. They want everything always online and have been pushing it for many years (don't forget they wanted the entire xbox one to be always online).
It's one reason I was sad to hear MS bought Bethesda. No more great single player games like Dishonored, The Evil Within, Fallout, etc. It will be mostly GaaS and online only from here on out for these guys.

Yes, I'm with you. It is a fun game with great atmosphere and solid mechanics. Not as original or ambitious as Dead Space (9.5/10) was when it came out but still great (8/10).

Yep 4 is objectively overly harsh. For perspective, out of 77 reviews on Metacritic there are only 3 scores of 4 or less.
I would personally give it an 8. I really enjoyed it and will wait for NG+ in Feb to play through again. I also really liked Days Gone, even at release.
Then again I actually play games and decide for myself rather than jumping on a bandwagon like most.
