Guessing the opinion piece was written by someone who favours their Xbox over other platforms...
hah, that's my image :) The 'Stencil' font and zoomed-in promo shot :) I guess Google is now crawling our images! It's been a year but it's finally started sharing them.
I personally couldn't get into F13 - I'm not a massive MP fan, but my colleague loves it - he's played hundreds of hours on PS4. Shame they stopped making new content for the game last year due to the lawsuit though.
Switch yes, because the switch wasn’t even a thing when they bought them. However, it had launched on PS4 a few weeks before MS bought them after Notch tweeted out that he was looking for a buyer. This was all in September 2014, with the PS4 version launching around the 3rd.
So no, the PS4 version wasn’t technically ‘made by MS’ as the article implies above it was made by Mojang as an extension of the original Java game onto last gen systems then ported across to modern sy...
@kribwalker - MS bought them after it came to PS4, not prior.
Well, ‘made by’ Mojang, MS just bought them after it was already released on all platforms. This isn’t the mobile port we see on other platforms, it’s the one Mojang originally created before it was gimped.
I can talk about it now :) - My review is on the site but the short of it is, it's a great game - very long with eight campaigns spanning four civilisations and time periods. Controls take a while to get used to, as there's no mouse and keyboard support and there's a lot of shortcut combinations, but once you've mastered it, it's really good.
Really? Should be. It's the date I was given, as our reviews were embargoed until midnight this morning. Maybe EU is Thursday and it's America today (which would usually be in about three more hours or so)?
Wasn't that the mobile one though - this is the new console game
It really shouldn't. What they need to do is go away from the stupid constant online and the co-op gameplay. It should go back to the style of Underground, a list of events for you to take part in. It doesn't need this pointless open world to drive around in.
If it was F2P, the grind would be crazy, the MTs would be all over the place and it'll introduce annoying walls which you can either bypass by replaying the same track over and over until you get enough to ...
"Microsoft trusts the company with its IP, and its future now lies with Nintendo." - this doesn't make any sense - the future lies with MS, not Nintendo, just because it's appearing as a character in Smash... Remember how you all thought Persona 5 was going to the Switch because Joker was in it
@Araragifeels - the thing is, the version which is still live on the PS4 is far superior to the better together one on the other consoles. It still gets updates and the dlc the others gets, but it's based on the Java version on PC - so better inventory, more stable, it looks better and is mechanically superior than the mobile port on the other devices.
We all know sony won't allow it though as MS only reports on the number of active accounts and opening Minecraft o...
Those modders had modded the actual PC version though - this was for the UWP 'better together' version which was simply a mobile port of the game. The Java version which all the PC Minecraft players use is very different to this version as this one was gimped for mobile use.
Wouldn't have come to the PS4 as the PS4 is still using the older version, the one with the better inventory, UI and stability. It's because the Switch, Xbox and mobile all run the same modified iPhone version of the game for the 'better together' update. Because of that, what happens in one version has to work on all of them - so it had to work on mobiles as well as the X (apart from the 4k part).
If they had kept the game as it's own separate product ...
Reviews at 11pm (in 40mins) - embargo until then
well, out tomorrow (13th)
@UltraDSA - the new model Switch has a better battery than the original model by about 40% - the Mini has a better battery be about 10% (although that's probably because other features were removed).
I think you've confused the mini with the new base model.
True, but it was just an example I thought up. Lots of companies have vulnerabilities. I’m registered to a site which tells you if your email and passwords have been exposed or leaked on any website. In recent years, things like Neopets, Dropbox, Adobe and even the CD Projekt Red forums have all had thousands, if not millions of people’s information leak - has anyone ever set up a class action suit against them, no, because it wouldn’t pass.
If the company knew about the le...
Just because you can't see people doing that, doesn't mean people don't already do that. over 4.2m PSVR headsets have sold and millions of other PC-based headsets from major companies and cheaper alternatives. The VR sickness issues were gone within a few months of the PSVR reaching its popularity as devs worked out the best way to combat this with motion blur, blinders, snap turning and teleportation - all whilst allowing you to disable all of these if you're fine with the mo...
Mentioned this above - I don't think they will as it'll cause stress to the devs and consumers as to how their games will look and play. A lower end headset may cause headaches or have text you can't read as it was developed around a higher resolution headset, for example.
If they really wanted to compete, they would need their own headset which they sold at a reasonable price that was the same or higher than the PSVR resolutions.
Haha, it’s fine. It’s a generic one built from press assets anyway :)
Now, if it was one with my ‘Turniplord’ face on it, that would have been silly :p although, I used to write for a site which used to grab the first image they found - sometimes being ones YouTubers had uploaded with them in the thumbnail.
Tbh though, with this game, there’s hardly any decent sized and clean images of the slasher edition. It should be a requirement that publishers gives...
