The site clearly didn't get the email from the publisher this morning... The build on the store is an old build - it doesn't have the graphical and performance updates which should have been in the final product. They are trying to push the correct update out asap. Hopefully the site will do an update to the review once the game is updated? Otherwise, the review will be in relation to a version the majority of gamers won't be playing.

If it was a cheat to increase the standard in-game credits, hows that 'fixes the Microtracsaction exploit'? in-game credits aren't the MTs, you earn thousands of in-game credits by simply playing the game, thus no cheats or exploits are actually needed.

I don't trust the user count on Meta anymore as literally anyone can rate a game without owning it.

Judging by the number of people on Twitter and in the Steam forums who are giving opinions on the game, even though they don't own it and are posting these YT videos as their evidence on how they feel, the majority of Meta user reviews are basically viewers of these people posting their 'opinion' based on other peoples opinions, not their own.

Whereas I agree that the reviewer should have completed the game before even starting their review (which I won't get into as I've had this discussion many times before), you shouldn't include any spoilers or major plot points within the actual review.

I've not watched this review, nor do I intend to, but if they've included hints or detailed info about the ending then they shouldn't be reviewing 'new' games. Old games, like what AVGN does, ...

This controller wasn't hard to use. You make it sound like you had to use all three 'feet' at the same time - you don't, that's not the point. You hold it for the analogue and the face buttons if you're playing a game which uses it, allowing you to use the Z button underneath. Or, if it uses the D-Pad, you have access to the shoulder button instead.

Maybe the writer is young and never actually owned an N64 when they were younger? those of us who did ...

Isn't making an article about something nobody talks about anymore, purely about not talking about the subject nobody talks about, counter-intuitive? You've successfully got people to talk about it once again, something you claim you wanted to stop...

Really? MUA3 is great and Rage 2 was lots of fun. The others I didn't really have enough interest in to care or form an opinion over.

Sony probably doesn't see MS as a competitor anymore. They've achieved nowhere near the same success they have this generation - The Switch and Nintendo is more likely their direct competitor now as it's putting up a fight in a number of territories.

I agree that I'm not sure why Stadia is here, as Stadia is more in competition with Steam, Epic and the rest of the PC launchers, but I can see why MS was omitted from the article.

@Oathbreaker - you can't compare PSNow to Xcloud because they are 2 very different things. Xcloud is more akin to the PS4 Remote play system, not PSNow.

Xcloud has two 'versions:
1. Own your own console and stream your games to mobile or PC. With PS Remote Play you can remote your games at 720/60 on the PS4 or 1080/60 on the Pro to iOS devices, Sony Android devices, The Vita, PSTV and PC/Mac. This method allows both systems to stream whatever digital games ...

That'll be why they said they won't be buying one at launch - give it a few months and see what other peoples feedback is I guess. That way, you can gather info on if it's still an issue or not. At least with Joycons, if you have an issue then you can just send in the Joycon whilst keeping the switch to play with another controller - if it goes in the Lite, you have to send off the whole unit.

There is an issue with sending Nintendo a unit for repair as well (wh...

You honestly can't use Metacritic like that... There are hundreds of games which aren't on Metacritic due to having less than four reviews or no reviews at all. The vast majority of Switch games are ports of mobile games - there are about 20+ games released every week on the platform.

If you were to include a sore for all of those, your little list will be very different. It's been a great year for both platforms - there's no need to start trying to create ...

I saw a negative headline for xbox, I saw it was from Windows Central, I wondered if they tried to spin the factual decrease in sales into something positive, they didn't disappoint...

Nothing against the site in general, but the whole article feels like damage control and trying to make up excuses and reasons for xbox's downfall this generation. Pretty much what I'd expect from a MS orientated website tbh.

"Xbox Live Up 14%"... Wasn't it the number of active users was up by 1% - not 'Xbox Live', which people would think is paying Gold members. Nobody knows how many are actually paying, although I imagine it's still at least 30m or so due to the f2p games all being locked behind the paywall still.

Imagine how many paying PS+ users there would be if you had to pay for it to play free games, or how many fewer people would pay Xbox if they didn't hav...

I thought it was really realistic, but I know nothing about cars! The level of detail the game gets into is quite crazy though - you can literally take engines apart and then rebuild them piece by piece. There are also thousands of components you can order, hundreds of parts with various slight alterations based on the vehicle you're working with.

I love taking broken things and seeing how they work so I can diagnose and fix them - this game satisfied me in that aspect...

Why? If you’re not happy, buy their games on Uplay. I’m sure there’s been other games, before the Epic Store, which were on Uplay only - just like how EA games are Origin only as well.

Judging by the revenue and sales figures from companies whose games are currently EGS exclusive. It seems the vast majority of gamers don’t care where they buy their games - the minority are the loud vocal ones though.

From what I gather, this operates like Train Simulator on PC, everyone who has Train Sim World gets this as a free update. The new modes and features are free and all expansions are enhanced with the new additions.

However, those buying the 2020 version gets a new dlc pack included, which we can buy separately as new dlc.

That’s what I got from the press releases and info I’ve seen, but I’ve sent the devs an email for clarification.

It all depends on the game - I've recently completed both Trails of Cold Steel I and II, both took over 100 hours for two playthroughs, with the second game being a bit shorter. I loved playing through those as I always had something to do and it never felt boring or repetitive.

If a game is very long just for the sake of it, or artificially made longer by putting a lot of faff and nonsense in it - like the latest Assassin Creed's and Sea of Thieves - then that'...

How do we know the request isn’t for the lite? It’s probably using a newer version of the memory and SOC, thus a new motherboard. Also, in an effort to combat the hackers, they had to make hardware changes.

All hardware manufacturers file these after announcing them, not before.

It's a bit confusing - I had to email the publisher for clarification. Basically, this and the VR game are the same, in terms of the plot and overall story. However, some puzzles have supposedly been changed as well as the graphics receiving an upgrade for flat gameplay.

It's also allowed them to release it on the Xbox, due to removing the VR element.

The confusing part for me was, why wasn't the VR version just updated to allow flat gameplay...

Who cares? By the sounds of it, they were two consenting individuals, both of legal age, and it only said they were 'dating', not being sexually intimate with each other.

I don't get why everyone in the comments on here, and over on the site, seems to have an issue with this? Just because you wouldn't date someone older than X years difference, why should everyone follow your ideals? If you don't like dating another race, such as black, white, Asian or &...
