"To sell a game from 1997 on a modern console, you pretty much have to fully reboot it" - no you don't. You can re-release, remaster or port it and fans of the game will still buy it. The reboot is because people have been asked for it for years and years.
"Voice Acting Isn’t Always a Plus" - not read the article, because I know it'll be really picky, but I thought the voice acting in the trailer was okay. Remember, it's a trailer which will ...
I tried the beta but reversed it as it disables remote play on PC and I use that quite often. Surprisingly, RP to Vita and (I think) iOS was still working. Because they were updated - just not the PC app
May not be the n4g staff, could be the sites owners constantly clicking through (not saying they are but I doubt the staff here would artificially push a non-interesting post).
They keep updating the beta every few weeks based on issues they find and feedback from users. As it’s a big change in the background, they are slightly altering things so it don’t cause it to be too unstable for everyone.
I think more people knew the games would have to be subsidised elsewhere. Look at the MT issue with Gears 5. One skin and emote pack is 25 dollars. The microtransactions are stupidly overpriced and pushed within the MP to buy. Flip this over to Sea of Thieves - which just added its store - and we have a ship ‘bundle’ for £25... they realise they are practically giving away their games so they have to pay their devs somehow...
Next up, Halo MTs which the d bs have confi...
Are you seriously complaining about the posters correct use of the English language?
I don't think I've read any article or comment from people saying they think you have to pay to play online. It's basically renting a PC, I'd be annoyed if they were also trying to pay to play online - but that never even crossed my mind.
@Spurg - you're stuck in the mindset of what the app store used to be like, about 5-6 years ago. These days, thanks to the enhanced CPU and GPU power within the units (some actually capable of more computing power than the Xbox One S), there's a lot of real games on there - not just clickers and 'energy' games.
Being ignorant and classing the biggest gaming market in the world as 'non-gaming' though is rather silly. Apple makes millions off the apps ...
That's his standard look, isn't it? It's either that or the image of him jacking off two guys as he does a strange expression...
I don't get why everyone is suddenly jumping on the "X should acquire Y" bandwagons. They could work with them, have some exclusive titles or collab with them without buying them out and forcing them to drop working for another platform.
I imagine one of the main reasons Sony bought Insomniac was because they saw MS going out trying to buy everyone, so they wanted to be sure they didn't miss the chance to keep them as one of their best developers.
@shiva1 - yeah. Ubisoft used to do it with Assassins Creed, offering various unique weapons and characters for buying their comics, toys, various versions and from different stores.
How is the above title and description clickbait? It clearly states its for skins and in reference to buying accessories and hardware. It doesn't even mention microtransactions
Spoilers, people selling their early access codes, in light of the recent legal issues 2k have had with people leaking info - I imagine they want to keep the game quite gated until launch, etc... there’s a number of reasons but they aren’t the only ones either. There are other big companies who only distribute codes to the same batch of pre-approved sites and media sources before launch, refusing to give to anyone else to avoid leaks and people trying to sell their copies.
...
It’s simple, 2k haven’t distributed console review codes yet, only dedicated Epic Store accounts for PC reviewers. That way, the codes can’t be sold and they know who uploads any footage of things they aren’t allowed - to based on any agreements set upon getting the code/account.
Console codes will most likely begin to get distributed on Thursday. Other companies do this but people don’t usually make a fuss about it.
Why? Only the PC version has been reviewed as no console version has been given to sites for review.
There’s been about five or six individuals and sites on Twitter over the last few days letting everyone know they didn’t get a copy and it’s all very ‘strange’. End of the day, early review copies are down to the publisher and nobody is entitled to one. Will we get one? Probably, on release date. Do we make a fuss about it on social media like a baby who had his toys taken away from them? Nah, not worth it...
from what I've seen - they do a decent length 'interview' but they slip in these questions every now and again then post them as breaking news. about 99.9% of these devs won't have seen the new tech or heard anything about it which hasn't been said publically, so I don't know why they ask them.
asking if an SSD will be faster is like shoving someone's hand into a kettle and turning it on and asking if it's hot.
These ‘interviews’ are very silly. Instead of talking to the dev about their game and what their inspiration or development cycle is like, Gamingbolt always seem to ask things like “in theory, how will more RAM help you next gen”, “if the new consoles have an SSD, will it load faster”, “what colour underwear have you got on”, and “how many fingers am I holding up”?
They are also usually a snippet of a main ‘interview’, cut up to stand five or six articles, usually each wi5n...
Nope. Would you call Yakuza 3 on PS4 a remake? It’s had new content added into the game, some textures and assets were updated, it was bumped to 60fps and the resolution was increased. Yet officially, it’s a remaster. This game, unless it’s on a brand new engine and has been practically rebuilt from scratch (bar the story, audio and possibly animations), is a remaster.
Look at Star Wars. When George Lucas went back and made the special editions by adding content, touching ...
What should they sound like? Like the Gears of War cast?
