I agree. But I do enjoy his predictions because you can guarantee that whatever he says, the exact opposite is true.
Hmm..I see how this works:
1. MS announces price cut (to match the one already in Europe)
2. MS releases its own figures on increased sales (without giving specific numbers)
3. Gaming websites proclaim a MS "console war" victory (without knowing the specific numbers)
Isn't this just a repeat of the hype surrounding the July price drop, at least news wise and predictions?
I would support the Dark Lantern. Or Even the Sinestro Corp Batman...btw...
why the frak is there no SINESTRO?
Boss character--
Goro/Doomsday hybrid.
Wait and see.
Edit:
Kintaro/Doomsday hybrid.
While I like the MK characters they chose, although there is no Johnny Cage, Kung Lao, or Reptile, the DC characters, outside of the Trinity, GL, Flash, Darkseid and Deathstroke, are not as impressive.
1. Shazam? Will probably be a "palette" swap of Superman just without the heat vision and freeze breath.
2. Catwoman? Well, at least the three people who buy the (canceled) comic will be happy.
3. Joker? Loved his fatality vid but he's never been a physical f...
I'm going to do "Kotaku" style investigating "journalism":
According to a recent scouting tour of large electronics retailers and game stores (4 in all) in a very large Texas city, I saw:
At two Best Buys--one near down town and another along I-30--there is a total of 32 xbox's of varying specifications between the two stores. By contrast, there were just 4 80gb PS3s.
At the Gamestops--one in a mall near downtown and another a block ...
This is actually the first time I've seen the game running on the 360. The demos during E3, including the developer walkthrough with Ed Boon, were done using the PS3.
That is not to say that the 360 isn't the lead platform, seeing as its an Unreal Engine-based fighter.
MK vs DC reminds me a lot of MK 1. Everything from the amount of blood to the fatalities. In fact, it seems like this game is a homage to the original. Here's why:
1) While the original game was controversial when it came out, it is nowhere near as violent as the later games evolved into. Go back and play the original--blood was spars (as in this game) and the fatalities were a lot tamer. Just look at the SNES port to get an idea of how MK v DC will be like.
2) The ...
It is actually faster than the previous 3D entries because of the move away from the 'dial a combo' of the other games.
For the most part, you can actually chain together punches, kicks and special moves on the fly. This makes the combat feel quicker.
mee tooo. In fact, I will probably get the game on:
PS3 for next-gen goodness
PSP for my traveling needs + new levels
Wii for lightsaber combat and to shut up my nephew who complains about not having any cool Wii games to play.
umm...I know but I don't want to spoil it.
The bigger point is this:
If a crappy game like this, from EA no less, can look identical on both platforms then there is absolutely no excuse for sub-par multiplat releases on any game from this point forward.
"Sold Out Everywhere" (=) 3, 000+ consoles
"Low Stock" (=) "Console sales pre-TOV release"
I'm beginning to understand MS PR speak, I think.
uhh..huh.
Let's do the check list:
1) flimsy reasoning for original intent of purchase for one particular console
2) followed by a list of more concrete reasons to purchase for the other console that include the word "definitive."
hmm...I wonder.
I typically don't agree with you in the game-o-sphere, but in the realm of politics, I agree with your statement totally.
It's too bad that these two extremes are doing exactly that.

But it doesn't help her (Palin) case that in a conversation with a "hot mic" two GOP pundits, Peggy Noonan and Mike Murphy, said this pick was a failure and that it "was over" for McCain.
While the "hostile" takeover deadline ended, the two parties (EA and Take 2)just entered (as of August 18, 2008) "confidential talks to evaluate strategic alternatives." Meaning that the two could be talking about a merger as we speak.

Is a story about Final Fantasy XIII's release being "way, way off," regardless of platform, still considered news?
That's like printing a story that proclaims "The sun rises."
Half of what you stated is part of the 14 pieces of DLC.
I will DL this as soon as I can. But it must be pointed out that I have more VC games (11) than actual Wii games (1 + Wii Sports).
Amazon isn't included in the retail numbers since it acts as a market place for other retailers.
The only exception where Amazon is counted in the NPD is for MP3 downloads. This is because it is a product service that comes directly from Amazon.
