While the Unreal Engine has produced some graphically impressive games--Gears of War and Bioshock come to mind--it is also responsible for making the gaming scene the equivalent of "electronic communism."
As more and more game companies utilize this engine, the noticeable differences among games is dropping. Even if a company has managed to find new ways to "slap a new coat of painting" over the engine, it's gotten to the point that I can tell when a game uses...
What does the "I Am Rich" app reveal about the people who bought it?
I see it as a glowing red sign to identify those who shouldn't reproduce.
I'm sure there is a "Wii owners don't buy games because the system doesn't have enough decent games to take up the space already available" joke in there somewhere. But I'm too tired to pull something out.
In the meantime, I will just say--
Release more decent games Nintendo and third party devs. I only have Zelda (hated Mario, Metroid and No More Heroes) and about 11 VC games. Only then will this storage upgrade matter to me.

If you actually click the link, it shows an invitation detailing a pre-TGS exhibition for October 7 at 11 AM.
The article never said nor implied that MS was broke. All it said is that the Entertainment and Devices division was clamping down it's spending.
What this article is doing is dispelling the notion that the game's division has unlimited income for things like exclusive content purchases or even buying timed exclusivity for certain titles.
Bubbles of sympathy my friend.
That list looks remarkably close to mine with the only omissions being Guitar Hero, Rock Band and Pure. Im not a fan of those genres.
But I agree with you about the hurting wallet. Thankfully I have a birthday on the 24th and am looking to get a raise following the presidential election so I'll at least have some extra cash.
As LIVE stands now, there is no way it should be $50. From 2002 to the launch of the 360, what really has been added to the system that warrants it's price tag? And I ask this with all seriousness.
The PSN, which no one but the most die hard fanboys can deny has taken monumental leaps in less than two years, offers many of the same premium services found on LIVE--video, demos, DLC, exclusive content-- and some not found on LIVE, specifically MODS, for no monthly or yearly fee. ...
Unless MS' big announcement is a day and date release in Japan for the 360 version.
Sure SE says, "we haven't even begun work on the 360 version. We are currently trying to finish the PS3 version for Japan."
But we all know SE are liars.

My predictions: FF Versus XIII is now multiplat.
Another game convention, another start to the "(_Big name game_) is coming to (_insert console____)!!" rumors.
I mean, it's like clock work.
The movie is based on DRAGON BALL. You know, where Goku is a little kid?
NOT DRAGON BALL Z.
You both realize that this is supposed to be Dragon Ball, i.e. Goku is a child, and not Dragon Ball Z, i.e. Goku is an overly muscular adult, right?
Regardless, I'm still hoping this is nothing more than an elaborate joke.
I really like the 3 Jedi Temple levels in the PSP version. I especially liked the boss fights at the end of each level. Plus I think they really add to the overall story and fleshes out why the Apprentice choose to do things the way he does later in the game.
I would also like to see the Cloud City level in next-gen polish mostly because you get to fight Mandalorians and a War-Basilisk. Also, the greater lightsaber customization option of the PSP version, which includes changing ...
"What was the ending suggesting, after the credits rolled, and they showed him being picked up?"
Answers to that will be in Resistance 2. Which begins immediately after Hale is picked up. In fact, Insomniac redid the ending of R1 (Using R2 assets) for the opening of R2 to show that the two games take place within hours of one another.
The only thing that bothered me is his reasoning for manuals.
Manuals in that era had to be in depth because the games technical limitations prevented them from being too story driven. The Mario example he gives is a perfect example of this.
Of course the manual is going to tell you about the enemies and where they came from. The game itself is about getting from point A to B in the quickest way possible and, every eighth level you had to hit a switch to drop a clone...
Since all the characters in the game are new (with the exception of 4 characters), what established characters are undermined or would appear weak?
If it's who I think you're talking about--rescue from the wookie homeworld?--then it fits in perfectly with the OT introduction of that character. Everything from the snarky comments and the strong-willed "I can do that" character.
Some of your comments don't relate to the article. The article is asking if the story of the game is compelling enough to be a movie? Not "is the game flawed or perfect?"
From a purely story perspective, which includes the novel and the various gaming incarnations story differences, I say "YES."
This is what frustrates me about Sony sometimes. They KNOW what the issue is yet they aren't doing enough (coughing up the money) to get these games on their system. It's not like they don't know the type of games Japanese people want to play but they aren't releasing them or even securing any type of exclusive deal. I personally think that Sony needs to reach into their pockets and buy more of SE stock--maybe up to 30-35%. Maybe even a controlling share. It may be a lot up front, but in the ...
They showed KZ 2. But they showed multiplayer gameplay.
How are the controls?
I already bought it on the PS3 but since I travel a lot, I was thinking of picking it up for the PSP. I've heard the controls take some getting used to however.
Also, how is the historical mode?
Uh..Captain_Sony, I actually do own a Wii but it doesn't matter if I say so because you won't believe it. And I bought everyone of those games I mentioned when they were released. I just realized that, aside from Zelda (which I love despite the fact every 3D version of game is essentially the same), I don't find the same enjoyment with those series as I did in the past. Mario especially. I just did not enjoy Mario Galaxy. Plain and simple.
As far as the systems other big release...
