First, the article mentions no specifics. Instead, it's just a blanket statement.
Second, "Playstation Magazine" doesn't exist. There was one, but it became OPM and now it's Playstation: the official magazine.
Third, there is no link to this quote.
Fake.
It doesn't really matter if the ending is bad or if the story is weak. Gears 2 will score at least a 95% by most game sites simply because the multiplayer game will be enough to make up for any short comings.
Gears, like Mario, Zelda, Halo, MGS, GTA, has gone beyond being held to the traditional standards of reviewing games.
I totally forgot they were releasing this trailer. It was big news on here when it was announced a trailer was coming but then nothing for weeks.
On topic, the trailer looks pretty good. I will definitely keep this title on my radar.
thats good that you're a "pick up and play type" because LBP boasts over 50 levels of single and multiplayer goodness right out of the box.
When you finish that THEN you can spend hours making levels.
haha
Here Here.
Bubble Up!
He said Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3? Really? That right there disqualifies his post entirely.
Lazlow said this on O & A not even a month after the game came out. The quote is old.
However, if anyone has insight into what the content is it's Lazlow.
The sad thing is there won't be enough people boycotting it.
The number of well informed people on to the nickel and dime scam of Namco is, I'd guess, relegated to those who frequent any sort of gaming forum. If I had to give a percentage, maybe 30-40% of the gaming public is familiar with "Scamco" and it's practices. The rest, which unfortunately is responsible for game companies being able to do this, are more than happy to plunk down the cash for an edge, either per...
Flood Kotaku with post proclaiming their idiocy for sniping an article that has been updated and corrected and promoting it as still having a delay.
Then apparently EVERY GAMING SITE (w/ the exception of 1up because they haven't reviewed it yet) and news sites like MSNBC are full of diaper wearing babies.
Report the story.
It's been proven fake so get it off the main page.
Edit:
The article isn't even consistent. It says "delayed by THREE WEEKS." That would mean it would release on the 4th, as the update states. However, both the original post w/ the "email" says the 14th.
That's not three weeks.
Instead of just making a blanket statement, why not be specific and say what exactly he would do?
And before you say, "do research," I know what his plan is, let's see if you do.
Ok, first:
It was Clinton, NOT Obama who pushed for these laws. A quick peruse of the congressional record would reveal that.
As far as him "criticizing" games and then advertising in them. Think about this, when he gave the speech on father's day and then tonight he was referencing parents not pushing their children or children taking it upon themselves to "put down the games" and pick up a book.
The fact that an ad for Obama was in ...
Even if there was a 360 version of MGS 4, going by the history of the franchise, it wouldn't appear for at least a year following it's release. As many have questioned, would it even matter at that point?
Regarding MG 5...
Considering the developmental cycle of MGS games, I wouldn't be surprised that IF there were a MG 5, we'd know first at E3 next year.
As far as going multiplatform, I can see MG 5 going that route. Especially if Kojima Production isn...
Although impressive, this is video of the multiplayer.
Not only that, but it is from the multiplayer content. It's not the single player game portion.
I believe these videos showcase the the mulitplayer element and the "WoW"-like gameplay of that mode.
The single player uses a more fluid system.
The numbers that come out this week WILL include the price drop.
You don't see positive comments. You see those who say:
"looks good, but I'll wait until it's further in development to make a decision on it."
Then there are the 360 fanboys who:
are ripping on the game and mocking some imaginary claim, mostly in their own heads, that it is a "Gears killer."
At least be honest.
Yeah, I'm loving this game. I'm about to start the "Test of Will" campaign, which is still pretty early in the game. Instead, I've just been going around gaining XP, building up my character and doing jobs to gain enough money to buy houses and businesses.
So far, I've got three wives and three children. It would be four, but I married two people from the same town and got divorced. I also rent 4 houses and 5 businesses. Fun times.
My only complaint is the...
