Did the update do something to the frame rate? After I installed it, the game started to stutter and would freeze for a second every so often.
I switched the frame rate option on to see if that fixed it, but it didn't. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Nowhere in the article does it say they are at two different stages of development. Nowhere.
It does say that the 360 version is an upgrade from last year. Meaning that they already had a base to start with. While the PS version is debuting this year. Which, had it been an American football game, would severely hinder its development. (I'm looking at you EA).
Yet, they are saying the PS version is more fluid and highlights the new animations better than the 360 ...

The first guy of Destructoid, having just watched the game being played formed a negative opinion of the game. 360Fanboys jumped down his throat saying things like, "he didn't even play it, how can he make an opinion.I'm not going to listen to him" --I'm not even going to go into the irony of this logic, especially when it comes to xboxfanboys trashing PS3 games they have never played.

i was just being sarcastic towards JOY. It usually trolls the boards talking bad about every PS3 game and its argument is based on other people's opinions of games. I was just pointing out how uninformed it is to make an assumption without actually playing the aforementioned game and forming your own opinion. I do admit the name calling was out of line though.

it's going to be a nightmare. Trust me. I mean, MS and rpgs? Come on. Blue Dragon sucks (1up told me so, and so did Edge) and by the use of transitive property, I know that Lost Odyssey will suck as well. I mean, look at the formula I worked out: Blue Dragon (MS rpg)= sucks. Therefore, if LO = MS rpg, it will also suck.

360: Bioshock (AAA), Blue Dragon (not)
PS3: Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, Lair (all TBD until next week)
Adding Blue Dragon to the list of AAA titles is funny. All the 360 fanboys who rag on Lair, are still pining over Blue Dragon. Which has received mediocre score, with a few bright spots thrown in.
Spot on there. According to xbox fanboys, only highly reviewed games are AAA (at least thats how they define it towards PS3 games) but I guess any game on the 360, regardless of score is AAA?
Realistically, the next big, must have game for Xbox is Halo 3. That's at the end of September.
The economic side of this rumor makes sense. Instill sharholder confidence and sale off stocks in order to gain additional revenue for development. I don't think that when they announced a delay, rockstar was expecting such a big hit financially. It's always risky to pad the stock data, so to speak, and then pull the rug over the eyes of investors. You hope the stock doesn't take too much of a hit.

It's not about being a fanboy, it's what appeals to a particular gamer. Saying you don't like one game, or prefer one game over another does not make you a fanboy or a hater. For example, in spite of the hype, I will not be picking up Bioshock. It's nothing against the game itself, but I wasn't blown away by demo. Does that mean I think it won't sell or that I want it to fail? No, it just didn't appeal to me. There are other games for the 360 that interest me more.

I think pp is just lost. I know because the Elite looks so much like the PS3 that its tempting to wander into a PS3 game discussion and give your little opinion, but the "xbox 360" on the disc tray means that your opinion means $hite.
So take your PS3-lite back to the xbox side and do whatever you have to do to prepare yourself for Halo 3 or Bioshock or which ever of the many FPS and subpar Jrpgs coming your way this year.

GTA, yes definitely. But Bully didn't sell very well despite the public boost. Neither was Manhunt a 'hit' by sales records.
The 1up review is a joke. I hate Madden, but justifying your score with a comparison video that shows "stutter" at the game running at 50% speed and less is just sad. Other things:
Using a stock review, only mentioning the PS3 differences in a box at the bottom = bad journalism, lack of integrity. Here's a hint, review both and write two different reviews.

I'm sure that is one of the reasons, amongst many other theories. But I was talking about the state of Unreal tech on the PS3. I was using UT as an example to show how Epic is optimizing the engine for the PS, which, in theory could help other companies that use Unreal more efficiently on their PS games. Hopefully easing development and/or delays.
Developer issues mostly. Some can work with it, some are finding it difficult. Although its safe to say that those that find it difficult are in the majority right now.
As far as multiplats go, they start out being built on the 360 and then ported to PS3. Big companies, like EA, tend to do this and do not optimize for the PS3 hardware. Others, like the company behind The Darkness build from the ground up on both consoles taking advantage of each ones strengths.
