If this game has this many issues on the "easier to develop for 360," I don't even want to see it running on a PS3.

There's a laundry list of quality and big name titles coming out in 2009--GOW 3, two Halo games, and Resident Evil 5 to name a few.
While it will definitely be a standout game, the "Final Fantasy" name carries a lot of weight, it will have some stiff competition and may in fact get lost in the shuffle among the mainstream.
TBH, though, I don't see the game coming out until late 2009--October or November. IF that is the case, it may have room to shine.
I love the logic in this article for calling the game a flop--the fact it's based on LBP's drop from 4 to 19 since it's Nov. 5th release date in Europe.

From the description, this sounds a lot like a reworked "Lost Chapters".
But hey, I'd rather have the option of paying 800ms points than having to buy the game again.
I ran into this issue a few times. But the most annoying issue was that Dom would sometimes disappear on me or just freeze in place. It usually happened in the Hollow levels and once in the Nexus right before the battle with Skorge.
This glitch did provide a humorous moment though. Towards the end of Act 3, when you hijack the gunboat, instead of getting in the boat with me Dom pulled a Jesus and just sorta floated out over the water. However, instead of moving he just stood out...
This site goes in cycles. Right now it's on month 11 of a "Pro PS3" cycle.
Until January of 2008, when it was revealed the PS3 outsold the 360 in 2007 despite "MS' Perfect Storm" of big name titles, this site was pro-360 and very anti-PS3.
I HOPE Square-Enix releases the game on multiple disks for the 360.
If they do, that simply means they didn't cut any corners or downgrade the PS3 version in order to fit it on one 360 disk. I would wholly be disappointed IF the 360 version was on one disk...
Too bad they won't.
Think of it this way:
If the game is crap on a system where SE seems to be focusing a majority of its resources (notice I didn't say "favor" cause we all know SE "Doesn't favor one console over the other"), what hope do PS3 owners have that the game won't be the same once it hits that console?

I've never read the novels, comics, or anything either. But that is the other scenario I was thinking. Almost thought for thought. Plus it's an even more plausible outcome than what I presented.
While I generally enjoy Gears for it's mindless gameplay and NOT its story, I do have one hope for the series that I pray the story isn't leading to... the Locust Queen is actually Marcus' mother or he has some half locust genetically altered "brother" to be revealed in future installments.

These people are so confused. While Mortal Kombat was violent and had bloody fatalities, (with the exception of MK 1, which was rated the equivalent of a "T", and what MK vs DC is a throw back to) they were based on astronomical feats of strength and superhuman abilities..i.e. a person could never turn into a dragon and bite someone in half.

This is how the whole "Delaystation" moniker gets its legs--someone not with either the developer or publisher throws out a date and when it doesn't stick we get a whole slew of articles about the PS3 "constantly delaying titles."
It would be cool if Ubisoft reconciled the 'Prince' universe with the 'Assassin's Creed' universe.
Even if MS knew about the issues or probable issues with early launch units or even the NXE, I don't blame them entirely. The consumers who put up with the 33% failure rate and were bought off with a three year warranty instead of demanding MS actually fix the problem share equal blame.

This is one of two games that hooked me almost immediately after booting it up. The only problem is that, the other game-- Fallout 3 is sucking up my play time at the moment.
But as soon as I find a good point in Fallout to stop it's back to the adventures of Welks and company.
I couldn't agree more. I have died more times in this game compared to other fps.
The beginning of the Chicago level and the escape with the Dr. are two places I had to replay multiple times. The escape level especially was tough when the Titan(s) (sometimes it was one, another time it was two) popped out of nowhere and smacked me down.
