I personally bought Batman AC PC version at launch day for 25usd. It just takes a bit of looking around to get a good price.

I think both PC and Console gaming are doing very well. Sure we are in a recession hence things arent as good as they could have been, however we are still doing quite solid.
I personally only own a PC, thanks to Steam discounts games have been so cheap i have a huge backlog, there are more games out this year then i can play.
I think the article from yesterday made alot of sense about having a combo personally having a PC and PS3 is the ultimate combo, ...

Well yes it does, unfortunately the masses only follow advertisements and only buy what their friends buy its a never ending cycle. Hopefully people will get bored of the age old COD formula.
64 players, Vehicles, Jets, awesome graphics vs a rehash.
I think BF3 easily wins. Though personally i been going back to TF2 and L4d2 alot recently, dunno those 2 games are insanely fun to play.

Try Witcher 2 its an amazing game, also nothing asides PC version of BF3 will beat Witcher 2 in terms of graphics in 2011.

Wipeout HD isnt a demanding game at all which is why it manages 1080p. However anything a little demanding like KZ only runs in 720p, and when asked to do 3D the resolution takes a further hit. It just shows current console tech is old.
If you do think Wipe out is a demanding game then explain why 90% of Sonys own exclusives are running only at 720p. It just proves when a demanding game comes up current consoles dont have the juice to play ...
Steam makes PSN and XBL look like a rip off, just like console gaming in general lol.

Well yes thats the cool part about pc gaming few years down the line u could overclock that cpu. which will be like a free upgrade basically. even till date no retail Intel cpu at stock speed is going to beat a I7 920 @ 4ghz i dont see it happening for another year atleast. which meabs your cpu will have very long legs. A gpu upgrade by the time the next consoles are out is all what will be needed to out do consoles again.

Well not only is the 600USD price tag high, its actually mid range PC territory. Also remember every game bought on PC is cheaper
lastly remember when a console fails you need to replace the entire unit, however when a PC fails the part that went bad can actually be cheaply replaced. Bluray goes bad on a console time to throw the entire box get a new one, motherboard went bad throw the entire thing. With PC its cheaper to maintain in the long run because you can switch parts ...
Unfortunately there wont be much games on console which do allow mods. Infact i am sure there are hardly 1% games on consoles that support mods, the only i can think of is UT3 out of 500 or so games released on the PS3. Hence the percentage would be .2% or so.
The reason why console companies dont allow mods is because mods give the user to create their own content which compromises DLC sales. Hence being companies they dont want to lose out on the chance to make that money, ...
Rumor has it next gen consoles arent going for high end hardware. Console makers have barely seen a profit this gen. MS probably has made a small profit however if you account initial investments from Xbox 1 then they probably havent broken even yet. Sony also this gen has only seen losses.
Hence both the companies want to start next gen with as little loss as possible and want to become profitable asap.

Thats the thing i like i about PC gaming, there isnt anyone to tell us what we can and cannot do with our machines. Its my machine its my baby i created it, i do with it as i please.
With console its a bit like Oh you do this we are going to ban you. Its like you dont actually own the hardware, use a 3rd party HD on a MS console and risk getting banned, dont want to upgrade to a firmware well tough. It feels it doesnt belong to you, like Ms or Sony...
I only have a PC, my games library is so huge i really dont have the time for another platform. so no i dont see my self taking up another platform.
Edit: Been a PC gamer since 1995, hence my library goes way back. What i love about the PC is i can check on my work anytime while i play as well. If need to be looking at some website all i need to do is Shift+tab and the browser is infront of me, its the sort of flexibility i dont think i would be getting with any console.
Hell yea i cant wait for the next gen consoles to arrive, but not because i want to buy one. Its because it would be good for PC gaming too, as it would bring about more good looking titles.
