Dragon age 1 was made with the PC in mind first, hence they knew that crowd has high expectations. They had to make a complex game. It was later delayed due to porting to console. However the basics were made laid up as a PC game in mind.
With DA2 though they got greedy. With DA2 they wanted to cater to a wider audience, hence they dumbed the game down. They'd want even 10 year old console gaming kids to be able to pick up the title and play.

I didnt say easily emulated. I did say Easier. Check CXBX its an emulator for the original Xbox. Sure it doesnt run many games however it is there.
There wasnt much incentive to Emulate the Xbox 1 to begin with because most of its games were out on the PC anyways. Cell was simply too complicated to emulate. In comparison an X86 CPU will be much easier.

People say console gaming is supposed to be cheap. Its funny people fail to calculate all the games they purchased this gen may not work next gen. Imo that alone is a loss worth thousands of USDs. Even if console gamers disregard the fast that every game bought on PC is eachper.

The tablet gets hooked up to your TV just like a console via HDMI and is powered up so the batteries dont drain.
Grab the controllers play from the couch just like a console.
Same could be said when people played FPS and RTS games on a controller(instead of a Mouse and keyboard which are far more accurate). Yet people didnt mind the limitations.
No reason why a BT controller cant be synced to a tablet or phone for gameplay.
I personally upgraded my monitors on the PC. I now have 3 120hz monitors.
My PC can currently run most games at 5760*1080 with 2x aa, maxed out settings, 3D and about 60fps on most games.
Nvidia surround vision supports tons of games. I do not think even the next consoles to be released can pull off such performance.

As pain_killer mentioned, the game is initially developed with console hardware in mind. The GPU makers have DX11 features patched in later. They really arent even efficient most of the time. Hell most of the time you cant even see a difference.

Do not be offended man, the HD textures are probably on the way to the PS3 and the Xbox 360 too, its just that MS and Sony havent validated the patch yet. Who knows maybe they are just delaying the patch because they want to give it as a charged DLC to the console crowd.

Sorry to burst your bubble but PS3 hasnt been a profitable venture for Sony, in the end thats what really matters for any company. All Sony has been doing is registering loss after loss.

Lol dude, its the resolution 5760*1080(sorry my bad most people here dont know what a resolution is). Which is 3 times higher then 1080p, its gaming on 3 different screens. Its called Nvidia surround or AMD eyefinity, google it.
The Gpus used are GTX 580 in Tri sli. My screens are now 3D vision enabled, I ordered my 3D vision kit too, hence cant wait to see how this looks like in 3D hopefully running on 3 screens :P
Its a very low demanding game as is. I am currently playing this @ 5760 * 1080p with everything maxed out with high res textures and still at 60FPS. I dont see how the game is brocken.
