Its the first Console gen where people can go online and play against each other, which has created alot of buzz in the Console community. I would give it a few more releases at best before people start tiring out from the repeated rehashes and the sales start dipping.

How about we compare the Cell + RSX to any dual core from 2006 + 8800gtx both of which are from 2006.
Show us a single first persn shooter the Cell + RSX can handle in 1080p? theres alot a dual core cpu + 8800gtx could handle in 1080p even today.
Cell was outdated in terms of graphic when it launched. IBM being a company is simply promoting their product.
Lol MLAA makes things look blurry, its available on the PC as well, however people try not to use it.
Cell is a very small chip compared to what is out today. Cell has a mere 250million transistors, which is less then what GPUs had 4 years ago. Which is why we still dont see a single first person shooter on the PS3 running in 1080p, while 4 year old GPUs could manage that task.
Cell is mostly hype only.
So why arent we including the costs of every game being more expensive on console? that itself by the end of 4-5yr period is a huge chunk of money.
No one serious about PC gaming would get a 17inch monitor(again your statements date back to 1998). These days 24inch is the standard. I sincerely hope you arent typin your posts on some control pad. Anyone using a desktop PC at home(which is the majority of the case on this site) to surf the web already has a keyboard and mouse.

Most people only buy a keyboard or mouse as a 1 time purchase it lasts for years. I bought a g15 keyboard about 4 years back and a laser mouse from logitech about 8years back, both are still running great, no need to buy such stuff again and again.
Control pad can be had for 40usd tops or you could use the one from your xbox 360 or the ps3.
I havent seen a motherboard out in last 8-10years that doesnt come with ethernet integrated. Which year are you livi...

Generally the Muscle beind a chip is estimated based on its Transistor count.
Cell is around 250million transistors, same goes for the RSX. So thats 500million transistors.
8800GTX alone from 4 years back is around 700million transistors plus. So yea its no secret 4 year old hardware blows past whatever the PS3 or the Xbox 360 can manage.
Current GPUs like the GTX580 are at 3billion Transistors, thats about 12 ...

I played Crysis in 1080p back in 2007. That setup is entry level by todays standard. Its going to be playing Crysis 2 in 1080p too. PS3 and 360 are confirmed to run crysis 2 at 720p. So they are infact a step behind 4 year old PC hardware.
You have to buy new consoles too.. Thats like updating a PC. No one here said not to buy Consoles.
Its gamers such as yourself who spread misinformation saying stuff PC needs constant upgrades. I simply proved 4yr old PC made during the time of console launch will still outperform consoles.

Note how even 4 yr old midrange gpus run fallout 3 around 50fps @ 1080p, Since Fallout NV is the same game 4yr old hardware will continue to outperform console. Dont know where you are getting the upgrading hardware part?

Well the reason Console gamers are now getting tired of Cod is because, there is no progress at all. Latest Black ops looks exactly like MW1. So sure anyone will get bored with stagnation.
When the same Franchise was PC exclusive it wasnt milked on a yearly basis, instead with every release there used to be improvements.
Now all there is are yearly milking of franchises with tons of DLC content(which also previously could be made ...
Badcompany 2 easily looks a generation ahead of Black ops, specially on PC.
They will need to ramp up the marketing budget for that lol. It was almost insane the amount of Radio adverts i heard for Black ops. I travel alot, it wasnt in just 1 country either lol.

Metro 2033 was easily the best looking game this year, not talking about the Xbox 360 version here. PC version was awesome. The developers also put in alot of effort in coding the game. Its one of those games which actually uses all the CPUs cores to do Physx (when an Nvidia GPU is not present).
Cant wait to play it again in few years when i upgrade and have a GPU that can handle all the DX11 effects maxed out.
While Orange box for 7.5usd is a great deal. Dead Space at 9usd is awesome as well.

Thats because Crysis held the best graphics crown for a long time and tbh the only games that truely did rival were PC games like:
Farcry 2, Arma 2 operation arrow head, Bad company 2. While all of them were good the game that truely dethrones Crysis is Metro 2033.
Console gamers as they dont really have anything that can compete with Crysis, tend to use Crysis as a benchmark for whatever that comes out. Most notabaly the PS3 g...
