You can just get a PS2 to play those games if you want to play them so badly or else they can be emulated on a PC.
TF2, L4D series, CS, BF3, BC2
Thats of the top of my head.
The game will be coming to PC however every Xbox exclusive that has made it to the PC, has been a major disappointment to me. Fable 3 being the last one. The experience is simply too dumbed down as if it was made for kids. Anyways i will be looking into reviews before picking this up for the PC.
3 Gigs of high res textures this is awesome man. Long live PC gaming.
PC is an open platform hence doesnt require any validation. On console any patch much be first validated by MS or Sony before the patch can go live, hence its only natural PC gets patches first.
I wonder if developers even test games these days before releasing lol. Terrible.
Well i am a PC gamer and while graphics are one of the corner stones f PC gaming. I will agree gameplay over graphics. I have been playing Dota for the last few months. Its a mod for a 10 year old game. However its bloody amazing. It has managed to keep my attention over many of todays block buster titles.
Hence yea Gameplay > Graphics, though sure graphics do complement gameplay.
I seriously wonder why companies are taking this route. Its not like SC2 sold bad that Blizz has to take this route.
ID butchered Rage due to console limitations and look how the sales turned out. Overall it was a disappointment.
Its fishy but they arent even releasing mod tools. Which again means they probably want to sell DLCs for the game.
I swear ever since the current consoles, the trend of penny pinching has risen to all new levels.
I dont know if most people know this, but there has been a trend with Half life games. Every Half Life game has been a graphics marvel of its time. I for one hope this trend is maintained.
Since its a multiplatform industry now. I would hope either Valve make this a PC exclusive and go all out on graphics or if they must release on console then they should release the game once the next consoles are out.
Recommended specs are quite low a 4 year old PC should easily max this out.
Correction they dont milk their franchises like certain other companies do.
Recently released valve games:
Left4dead series- perhaps the most fun coop fps out there.
Portal 2- another freaking amazing game.
Upcoming valve games:
Dota 2
CS go
Blizzard:
Diablo 3
I can bet you those 3 games are gonna last 5-10 years atleast perhaps beyond. I started play...
You have to hand it to Valve and Blizzard when it comes to people remembering games. I think games from both those companies are legends. They simply just dont die, its as if they were immortals, laughing and surpassing every mortal game that comes and has its time in the limelight.
Imo games like Starcraft, SC2, CS, TF2, Warcraft 3, World of warcraft are simply legendary.
Umm no thats not what happens. Hard drives if kept in a good environment hardly ever crash. If you have a casing with good airflow HD hardly ever crash. I personally have had HDs last 3-4years without failing at which point i would simply replace them with newer tech.
Even if my gaming HD was to crash, i have a Back up HD (2tb) which has all my games stored. Hence even if gaming HD did crash it would only take 30-45mins to restore all my games.

The devs probably will use it once they see the userbase having the system.
It wont rival PC graphics hell it wont even rival current console graphics(not for the next few years atleast). Though it will beat the Vita. If the Vita can last on batterys then so will this.
Also if you are thinking of using the phone as a console, you can have it plugged into a power outlet and then display on tv via HDMI, no concerns of battery drain then.
I personally would never get a TV with a console attached to it. Simply because a TV can be expensive. If the console attached to the TV goes bad then thats an issue.
I would rather prefer standalone hardware so if anything goes wrong it can be replaced or repaired. Imagine a TV with a PS3 attached to it, the Bluray player goes bad, now you are stuck. Arent going to replace the entire TV are you? Hence standalone hardware is always better.
No your smartphone might be. Equipped with HDMI, Wireless controllers and constantly upgraded hardware, i predict smartphones will have a strong future in this industry.
A big advantage the smartphone has over any other electronic device in the industry is research money. Everyone wants a phone, wether they want to game or not. The consumer base far out does anything out there.
With such a hefty consumer base the manufacturers get bigger reseach budgets then ...
Sure handheld gaming is here to stay, however with the advent of the smartphone the landscape is destined to change.
Nvidia is already prepping its tegra 3 processor, which possibly will blow every handheld out of the water in terms of power.
Now the only limitation i see is the lack of buttons. Which again can easily be rectified by bluetooth controllers, something simular to the DS3.
Now if smartphones are going to be more powerful then ded...
Totally agree with this guy, specially the part where is he says "Steam is the champion of PC gaming".
I personally have over 150 games on Steam. I was recently shifting my house. My brother who previously used to be a console gamer (now games mostly on PC) he had a huge collection of console games too. It was a nightmare for him to shift all those hard boxes to the new house. All i had to do was pick up my Rig.
Like the guy said PC usually is two s...
Ill wait until the next consoles, before buying my next laptop. I have a beastly PC at home, However i tend to travel alot. Hence having a laptop that can play the games is great and since games are now made with consoles in mind if the PC hardware is more powerful then a console then every game coming out will run great.
Anyways i currently have a laptop with a 5870M gpu, its about 1.5 years old now and it plays everything better then a console can. Once this gen is over a...
I would say these are just excuses about next gen development being expensive. If anything is expensive these days its the marketing and the advertisement which in the end adds on to the cost.
Considering the rumors of the next gen consoles i would think they would be able to play a game like Crysis at medium to high settings at 1080p. Hence if a game like Crysis can be considered next gen. Then i dont think development of such a game is too costly as Crysis only cost about...
