I completely agree. I am currently playing Fable 3 on the PC, i just bought it because it was 14 usd on a steam discount. I really dont know how console gamers can enjoy this game. It looks like the game has been made to cater to people who are braindead. There is no skill or anything involved in the game. There is no sense of character progression. It just feels i could finish the game spamming the X button.
I dont know how any hardcore gamer can enjoy such games that are so...

Check out games like TF2, L4D2. There is so much free content on the PC version its almost mind boggling.
It happens because the gamers are given the freedom to make their own content. In TF2 we have wacky ideas such as Baloon race maps, its something new you dont see it in other first person shooters. Its only possible because the gamers are given freedom to do so.

Its mostly the console base thats buying MW3, On PC it looks like Skyrim is ahead of MW3 in sales. Specially on Steam Skyrim has been topping the charts.
I think kids mostly on consoles cant get enough of COD, even though its been constantly milked for the past 5 or so years.

Anyone who made a computer in the last 3-4 years made with the right choices can run it near max settings. If anyone is playing with an older computer then that then they probably arent serious about PC gaming.
A GTX 260 runs the game at high settings 1080p with high settings atleast.
Witcher 2 with everything maxed out is in a league of its own. I was today trying the game with max settings including ubersampling, it looked bloody amazing.
It can also be had very cheaply atm, for those who missed it could probably now pick it up as low as 15GBP.

You start of with the wrong parts you only end up screwing your setup, GT220 is not ment for games, do a bit of research it helps a lot in the long run, had you started of with a GPU like GTX 260 i assure you you would have maxed out Skyrim today. GPU is the most important part in the setup if its butchered your entire setup is butchered. ...
How do you afford console then? its actually more costly :) Paying more per game adds up in the end.
A PC equipped with a 3-4 year old GPU runs this game maxed out ;-) Its not hard building one and enjoying the benefits of every game looking better. Not to mention PC version will have very long legs with all the bombardment of mods that are about to appear, few months from now not only will the PC version be having much more content it will also be a much better looking game...
I am sure the modding community will release some unofficial patch to fix this later... oh wait :P Closed platforms dont allow such freedom.
I used to play Wow i played it for 3-4 years. I think what ruined Wow was the relentless race for new armor upgrades. They just went over board, it went to the point if you didnt put in couple of hours(5-6hours) everyday you just wouldnt be competitive anymore.

World of warcraft has been milked for many years, sure it was a great game. However people probably are starting to get tired of it.

Been playing alot of BF3, its a whole new experience. 64 players makes it feel like a real war, Jets, tanks along with great graphics make it an awesome game.
Yet its going to sell in millions, sad the state of gaming.
What is a console? havent you heard they are a dieing breed. Most of them died years back, only one we had this gen is the Wii(which too seems to be dieing).
As of the PS3 and Xbox 360 they are just locked down low end PCs :) controlled exclusively by their masters Sony and MS.
Havent you heard next Xbox might actually come loaded with Windows. Sony already tried it with PS3 with Linux.

KZ3 looks very simular to KZ2 its worse infact.
UC3 only has minor improvements of UC2, its not the same jump we saw from UC1 - 2.
Bottom line is you wont be seeing significant graphics jumps with optimization alone. More powerful hardware is needed. The same conclusion can be drawn with many of todays sequel releases, most of them look just like their predecessors.

Instead you pay more per game, which ends up being alot more in the end, you just dont know it :) Even if you bought 20 games a year, multiply that by another 15(since PC games are generally 15usd cheaper on avg), you end up with a difference of about 300usd extra paid per year, plus charges to go online. Console gaming is much more expensive in the end, you just need pick up a calculator and add the numbers.

I think FPS unlockers should be out soon. Anyways its a console port cant expect good graphics on it until the modding community does something about it.

I would give it a few days before the mod community releases an fps unlocker. Many games this gen have shipped with this retarded limitation. 30FPS may be fine for console gamers, PC gamers would throw a fit on it.

Oh i agree, Xbox exclusives are way overated, Specially games like Gears of war 3 are terrible. In fact I dont think Xbox has any exclusive worth mentioning at all.

Well to make the next COD shouldnt take too much of their time, all they need to do is reskin the current one with some new maps and they are done.
Which would leave them with plenty of time to make a new IP too. Id say say they should take on both the games.
