Costco always has the sweet deals. I love buying stuff from Costco.
Would be a mistake to release it without talking about what will be released.
This is a holiday thing, not a summer thing.
Not that it matters, because I don't plan on buying it. I hope that those of you who do enjoy it.
Haha...can't let people be wrong on the Internet now can we?
Doesn't mater to me when Natal releases. I don't plan on buying it anyway.
I wonder if this means that Sony might reduce the price of their HDMI/USB cable bundle to something more reasonable? $5 worth of cables for $39.99 to $59.99 is a bad deal.
Depends on who you ask. Some people see consoles as toys, and $400 to $600 for a toy is too much. Some people see consoles as serious business and think that they're well worth what they cost.
I think my threshold is in the $300 - $400 range for a console. My family and I get many hours of enjoyment from video games and it's something we can do together. I think that when you get above $400 you really need to be able to justify that cost.
Less is more in my opinion. Nudity, excessive violence and foul language aren't necessary when the story is good, and those elements aren't what makes something mature. The shower scenes in Heavy Rain didn't really add anything from what I could tell. Some of the later scenes fit better with the story, but could have been pulled off without showing it all. The nudity in God of War is as gratuitous as the violence and it adds nothing of real value. Maturity is measured more by rest...
I've never seen every E3 promise come true. E3 is as much a sales job as a showcase.
Who is "us"?
I can't tell you the last time I saw a television ad for a video game.
This article tries really hard to sound intelligent. In a few places it almost succeeds. But it falls into a fallacy that many of us who enjoy console gaming fall into.
The author makes the case that digital distribution of games will make consoles obsolete. But the console isn't about how the medium the games are delivered on. Consoles are about the platform and the features of the platform that allow developers to express their creativity. What makes consoles popular is...
I'd be ok with a new GTA. It's been quite a while since the last one.
It takes votes to get news onto the site, so it wouldn't help to be able to vote news away. Just the opposite would happen and all that would be left is ammunition for console warriors.
Yeah they do. All the time.
I don't know what happened to the world, but people tend to expect apologies for absolutely everything. Exactly what was there to apologize for over Vista? Microsoft released SP1 and it got infinitely better. Plus, they extended the life of XP and left it as an option for new PC purchases through OEM's so people didn't have to buy it.
Maybe it's just me, and I could be wrong, but extending the Xbox 360 warranty to 3 years and dropping $1 billion on the table t...
Wait, so the fact that they've been able to stay successful during a recession is the reason you don't buy from them? Why is that?
Phones are more and more becoming mobile computers. The thing is that the market is getting crowded already with iPhone, Android phones, Blackberry, Windows Mobile devices, etc. I wouldn't want for the only way to experience the PSP2 be a mobile phone, because I'd never buy one.
I've been playing this game for the last 3 days and I can tell you that this is one that the hardcore gamer would really enjoy. Take my advice, take off the goggles. This game is one that everyone should play.
I don't know. If someone doesn't know how to use Google I think they're going to get taken for much more than that. Caveat emptor. A fool and his money are soon parted...yada yada yada...
I wonder if Kutaragi shares that sentiment? Division chiefs leave for many reasons, but most often it's because the division needs to move in a new direction. Bach leaving doesn't mean much for Natal, because Natal isn't what's needed to pull the Xbox out of it's slump. What's needed is a new perspective. Natal is a necessary component because it's what the market is demanding. That's all it is in my opinion.
The Xbox brand needs someone new to...
I hope it does happen. My 360 is an older model with the ultra-loud DVD drive and I'd like something quieter and better on energy consumption. I was thinking of getting a new 360 and a new PS3 just to reduce the power and heat associated with this hobby.
