Same here, my friend. I'll be picking up my PS3 copy after work today. I'm itching for some freeroam posse action and PSN will allow me to do that on my own terms.
How would you even know what the "native" resolution was without someone telling you? Unless someone with specialized hardware did the analysis and told you what was happening under the covers you would never have a clue. The total nonsense in threads like this makes me wish that the fine folks over at Beyond3D had never bothered to look.

Dear Lord, more pixel counting. Just like with the last big-budget title that got lambasted over frame buffer resolution versus on-screen, I doubt anyone would know or care if it wasn't for the console warriors. Too bad that many of the people who lambasted that Xbox 360 game are now standing up for the PS3 version of this game. It's very disappointing.
Why don't we focus on what matters? The game is getting great reviews across both versions. More and more people...

This one's been around for 4 years, so if they have some improvements I'd like to see them. Although it is simple and easy to use there are things about it that I think could be better implemented. I guess we'll see if its true.

Apple not allowing it to be sold in their online store makes sense. That's not the image of Apple that they want to present to the world.
Apple is pretty much printing money at this point. It isn't about the money, it's about their image. The last thing Apple wants you to think when you see their logo is HD porn in the hairy palm of your hand.

I remember when I got my 360. I spent a lot of time in DOA4 and there was this one kid that was button mashing and throwing around the N word at everyone he played. He won about 16 matches before some guy joined the lobby and completely beat the snot out of him. Then the guy says "how does it feel to get your sorry @$$ kicked by a N..." and everyone laughed the guy out of the lobby. It was sweet comeuppance.

Both PS3 and 360 have their own strengths and weaknesses that I believe really require games to be developed independently and for each platform.
