It just goes to show that these arguments over which console is more powerful are just plain stupid. The talent of the developer has just as much to do with the quality of the game, if not more.
Why would someone move their 360 around in the winter? I don't get it.
I'm going to withhold judgment on 3D gaming until I get a chance to try it for myself. I've read quite a few articles about the 3D experience and it looks promising. I just hope that developers can make good use of the technology and not use it only as a gimmick.
Gamers sure are lazy.
Heaven forbid! A motion controller that requires you to move. How horrible!
Well, people wanted RROD taken care of. That will do it.
This is a game that that I think would benefit from motion control based on the current DualShock control scheme. It seems to have been designed that way from the beginning.
3DS is looking good!
I'm really impressed with what Sony had to show today. My PS3 is going to get a workout in the coming months.
Heh
I enjoyed Donkey Kong Country on the SNES! Bring on the platforming!
I already have LittleBigPlanet, though. Another option would be nice.
I'm thinking about getting a new PS3 and a new 360 to cut down on heat and energy use. If the consoles go through another price cut I'll probably do it.
A black Wii would be nice, too.
It can't be missing if it was never there to begin with, right? Did anyone really expect it? Really?
It said download and play one PSN title per month. So you would only be able to have on "subscription" title active at any one time and at the end of the month the PSN title you downloaded would likely expire and be unusable.
It's just like renting one game per month, which isn't really bad for a few bucks a month.
As with everything else, you have a choice as to what to pay for and what not to pay for. If it rubs you wrong that you lose access to subscription content if you cancel your subscription then don't pay for the service. It's a value-add and not needed. Same with Xbox Live. If it doesn't give you the sense of value, don't buy it. You aren't held hostage either way.
So question. What if you don't have PSEye? Is it another $40 for the camera on top of $50 for the controller? Does that $50 include the sub controller?
All I know is that it takes a special kind of idiot to pick up their console and shake it while a disc is spinning in the tray.
Microsoft could fix this by having the console electrocute anyone who tries to do it. It would also clean up the gene pool a little bit.
Those pictures absolutely fill me with some old-school nostalgia.
A decent enough opinion piece. Makes some good points. People on N4G are already complaining that they have to stand up and move to use a motion controller, so there's already some anecdotal evidence that driving adoption is going to be difficult. Maybe more difficult than Microsoft may have anticipated.
The thing that's going to make it or break it is compelling software. It's been nearly impossible for Nintendo to get many third parties to make proper us of moti...
