My 60GB PS3 gets used quite a bit for PS2 games. A good game is timeless, in my opinion. However, I don't see PS2 BC coming back to PS3. Not as long as PS2 sales are brisk and profitable.
The rumors are almost as fun as the show sometimes. Then the hype train crashes and I just can't look away...
I'll be so happy when the 15th gets here so that we can finally put these arguments behind us and move on. Although we'll just move on to some other argument.
On topic, I'd like to see a new 360 design. I'd replace mine with a smaller, quieter more energy efficient box.
Just goes to show that people on N4G can argue about anything...lol!
#6 Silly fanboy flamewars
Some people need to turn everything into an argument. Here at N4G it's no different. We can guarantee that people are going to be shouting from the rooftops that the motion control on their favorite system is better for "hardcore gaming" than any other console's motion control. Just wait and see. During E3 and even beyond we will see flamewar after flamewar as nothing but simple games and shovelware hit the scene for each format. Yo...
People sure do get twisted into knots over this stuff. What does it matter if Konami releases an Xbox 360 exclusive? What does it matter whether Kojima is involved with Metal Gear Rising?
I guess we'll know for sure in a couple of days.
And to keep the proper perspective, HD sets didn't become mainstream until they pretty much quit producing SD CRT's. Blu-ray has dropped in price enough where adoption has picked up, but it was the PS3 that drove the initial popularity.
I wonder if that's what they told him when he "retired" from the PlayStation business?
Aftermarket add-ons typically don't do well, so it wouldn't surprise me if the add-on motion control devices by Microsoft and Sony don't set the world on fire. They'll be playing catch-up in that market for the remainder of this generation.
I'm interested to see how the 3DS turns out. I've purchased DS Lites and DSi's as gifts, but I've not owned a DS console of my own.
I haven't played a Yakuza game yet, but I wouldn't mind trying one.
I will be buying Crazy Taxi. It was probably my favorite Dreamcast game, honestly. I'm right there if they decide to bring Jet Grind Radio to the table, too.
A great game is timeless, in my opinion.
I like to think that we gamers are the winners at E3. We should continue to demand quality for our money and E3 shows how hard these companies are willing to work to earn it.
Change is good. Give it a shot and see how it works.
Considering so few people actually have 3D TV's Sony would shoot themselves in the foot shifting focus there. I can't believe anyone would actually be worried about that.
Come to this? It's been this way for years. I'm surprised that anyone is surprised. It's part of the charm.
N4G is so true to form with this one. The place wouldn't be the same without the console warriors who are willing to split the hairs needed to right the wrongs of the internet.
I always die a little on the inside when awesome characters like comic book heroes end up in lousy games that miss their potential. I really hope that this game doesn't suck. But I'm jaded and, quite frankly, have no reason to believe that this game won't suck.
Define "foreign". There are people from countries all around the world here on N4G.
