First sentence:

"Rumours point to higher RRP than previously thought"

And then straight to "confirmed".

Wake me when it's real.

A hostile takeover is when a company's board of directors refuses an offer to sell the company so the buying company bypasses the board and goes straight to the shareholders. Paying a lot of money for a company is in no way aggressive. If the price is right a board typically sells.

I'd like to see a single example of a hostile takeover of a developer by Microsoft. They tried it with Yahoo! but ultimately dropped it. Hell, I know of companies whose main goal is to be ...

"the only reason people baught an xbox is because they are cheap and many paid the price around 33% had the red ring of death where as sony had less than 1% because of the quality which justifys the higher price."

Really? Because I bought my Xbox 360 8 months before the PS3 was even available, and I paid $399 for it. Does that mean I was cheap?

The Natal footage is going to be taped? For something that's supposed to launch in 6 months or so that wouldn't be a good thing.

Welcome to two weeks ago.

Could also rent or borrow the game 6 months later. Or do the Gamestop one-week swap where you buy a used game and take it back 6 days later. Cheaper than renting, because it's free!

I see the typical anti-Pachter ad-hominems. And although nobody seems to have read what he said, he does seem to have a point. Killzone 2 was the Halo-killer that was supposed to move PS3 hardware, and it did just that. Killzone 3, much like Resistance 2, is a sequel aimed at the people who presumably lined up to buy PS3's when the initial games released.

Not much different really than what I think we can expect from Halo Reach on the 360. The people who lined up to buy 3...

"And the funniest part is that MS chose to pay Rockstar 50million for 6 months of exclusitivity on D/L content over using wads of cash to keep the creators of the title that single handedly put Xbox's in the hands of more than three people. "

Good to see you're a gamer first and foremost. Otherwise I would have interpreted that giant wall of text as an anti-Microsoft rant that used all of the same old tired cliche's.

I don't get it.

To be fair, holding a stick in your hand and pretending to drive with it isn't all that much fun, either. And there's nothing to say that you couldn't hold a plastic wheel and drive with Natal, much like the wheel that the Wii's nunchuck is placed in. Wouldn't be surprised to see Move get it's own clip-on plastic wheel, either.

That is a lame article. "I suppose" is conjecture, not an explanation. They might as well have formally announced Killzone 3 since it had already been leaked. \

I don't care what system it's "only possible on" as long as I get to play it. And the good news is that I do.

Uncharted 3 would be great! There's so much history that Uncharted could exploit. It wouldn't matter to me if there wasn't a single improvement over Uncharted 2, because Uncharted 2 is that good. Just give me more story and more adventure!

If it were on PSP that would be fine with me, too. Day 1 purchase. My PSP needs some good games.

If schoolchildren will be playing this then the stereotype of the bad parent definitely comes into play.

Crossing the line? It bewilders me how there are people out there who think that they have some right to never be offended by anything. Rockstar has always picked up on stereotypes in their games. Every GTA game since GTA III has been packed full of them. The stereotype of the drunk, red-nosed, boisterous Irishman isn't any worse than any of the other ones in Rockstar's games. And with the number of Irish pubs where I live it seems like some work very hard to earn it. This game is als...

I'm sure there will be plenty of stock by the holiday season. Better that the shortages are early in the year rather than later, in my opinion.

I'm curious to see how big the sales spike is going to be for GT5. I want to see how many people have ignored all of the other phenomenal PS3 exclusives for the last year to wait for one game. I know that I wouldn't have been able to.

Not sure that motion control is what's going to end the console war. If it is then Nintendo's already won it. Both Move and Natal better bring something new and awesome to the table besides HD graphics, because there are already more than 70 million Wii's out there.

My guess is that PC gamers get penalized because for every 1 person that buys the game there are 3 or 4 actually playing it.

You don't need a browser to "own" the internet. You don't need a browser at all to use the internet.

The 360 is a closed system with a closed service. I think that saying people are "forced" to do anything is nonsense, considering you can do all of those things Pachter mentioned on other devices. I don'...

This guy is amazing sometimes. Trying to own the internet? Then why is it that my laptop, which is currently running a Microsoft browser, lets me go wherever I want and do whatever I want and Microsoft doesn't get an additional penny of rake off of it? If Microsoft was trying to own the internet I'd think that strategy would extend out to their other products.

Trying to own their own platform? Yeah. And being too restrictive? Probably. But as dramatic as this guy says...
