Exactly. If there's any doubt my ID's are in my profile.
I don't blame them for using the X-clamp. I would have too. I'd have every possible fix I could think of in the thing.
I saw a half-dozen or so at Best Buy today. Was tempted to buy one, but I'm going to wait it out for a bit.
I don't believe the sketchy Youtube videos either. Too bad so many people still think that because they saw it on the internet that it's true.
I guess there's no pleasing some people.
Any console will overheat if not properly ventilated or if it is kept in a room that's too warm. The PS3 will shut down if it gets too hot.
Personally, I'd rather it tell me that it's overheating and shut down than it tell me nothing and fry.
I wish the new Mortal Kombat had the digitized actor goodness of days gone by. I know it probably would have been more expensive, but it's part of the reason that MKII and MK3 got so much of my money back in the day. But it still looks awesome, either way.
Some of those games brought a tear to my eye! Donkey Kong Country...day one! MVC3 is awesome!
So exciting!
I'm considering an update, but I'm waiting to see what SKU's are ultimately available. Won't quite call it an upgrade since it does pretty much what my current 360 does. I just want something that uses less power, makes less noise and creates less heat. I'm thinking that early 2011 will be a good time to replace the 360 and PS3 with the new models and give my electric bill a break.
I can see Heavy Rain with Move. I like Heavy Rain a lot, but the Dualshock movements seem unnatural at time. I bet it plays much more intuitively with Move.
Getting so tired of seeing Kinect and Move articles. I wish they would show something that we haven't seen hundreds of times in the last week.
Just shows that hackers are hard at work trying to reverse engineer this hardware. The thing is that nobody really knows how far along these guys are. This hacker has to know that now that it's released that this exploit is going to be the next thing on Sony's radar to eliminate. So why did he release it?
I'm ok with Twisted Metal not having 3D or Move support. My Dualshock and current TV will do just fine.
I'm not sure that I believe it. I've seen quite a few 360's on their way to RROD heaven from overheating and their symptoms were not what I was seeing there. Looks more like interference than an overheating problem. But I'm not convinced even after watching the video that this isn't a hoax. Seems a bit contrived to me.
Even with that, after every console releases there are videos that pop up online showing technical problems. I saw them when the original 3...
I wish they would go ahead and just add the feature so that people would just shut up about it.
A lot of disagrees, but there's a lot of truth to what you said. Sony clearly lags behind Nintendo in the handheld space, so they are trying to downplay the features of the 3DS.
I'm looking forward to the Dreamcast games coming to XBLA/PSN. I'll be buying some Crazy Taxi for sure!
The new 360 can't use the memory cards. I guess they could pack in a USB drive or something, but it will need some sort of storage.
If it comes with Kinect it will have to have some sort of storage, because Kinect requires 175 MB or so.
What I worry about is the lower cost model losing Wi-fi and/or the hard drive. One of the breakdown articles said that the Wi-fi is connected internally via USB, making it very modular. And hard drives just pop in and out.
I'll wait and see what they announce in the way of features, I'm just afraid they're going to make some of the same mistakes again with their budget model.
I enjoyed it all of those years ago. I don't understand why people can't get beyond it.
Day 1!
